Poly is really what you make out of it. It isn't the most glamorous school, it isn't rated as high as an Ivy, it isn't a huge party school, but its located in NYC and it is connected to the plethora of other NYU school clubs and people. The academics are challenging, and if you get to know the professors there are a lot of cool research and internship opportunities. I have loved my time at Poly so far, but I am considering transferring for the simple reason that I am interested in more theoretical physics work and Poly, being an engineering school, does not offer all the opportunities that a dedicated school of arts and sciences does.
