As expensive a school as Pratt is (tuition on average is 27,000 per semester), the money is definitely worth it. Things that are broken are fixed within the week, communal bathrooms and the cafeteria room are cleaned daily. The school is constantly upgrading it's buildings and equipment to the best for it's students and the campus is always catered to. The teachers are friendly and help to build you up as an artist, architect, or author and the classes will always teach you something new and important.

I can't say yet whether Pratt is worth the money. While you are paying for the facilities you're also paying for the environment, a place where other striving artists are working and where you can get advice and opinions on your work. The school itself is expensive, but they do provide some financial aid, and offer jobs on campus.

Yes, Pratt is ridiculously expensive, but it is a brand-name art school that offers a wonderful education and will help you reach your career goals. It also offers wonderful financial aid and many scholarships if you put enough work into your portfolio. Many students who did not come from wealthy families manage to go through Pratt without a ridiculous amount of loans. It just takes putting in the time with your financial aid counselors and fully exploring each option you have.

Pratt is definitely a very very expensive school. But I think its worth it, you really get exposed to industry experts (in whatever field you are majoring in), they help you allot to get internship and job opportunities, teachers care about your education which is why it is very personalized (classes aren't bigger than 15 students), you have great studios to work in after classes and not to mention it is located NYC.

Pratt is one of the best art schools in America. It has a tradition of excellence that all professors, administrators and students try to uphold. The career services department is also an excellent resource that students and alumni can use to find careers, jobs and internships all over New York City and the country!
