This is a college campus. You can literally do whatever you want and find people who have similar interests as you. A majority of students on campus play sports one way or another and the dance groups are very popular. On Thursdays and Saturday nights, students go out to Prospect Ave. known as The Street, to party.

USG does a nice job at offering activities that do not include alcohol. There is everything from ice skating nights to broadway musicals. The student body is also very artsy making it so that there are always comedy shows or plays on the weekends. The Acapella groups perform on the weekend nights at around 11 -12 AM. Also, in terms of social life, Princeton has what is known as The Street ( Prospect Street): a street full of twelve eating clubs ( our versions of frats). Here you see basically the same scene as you do at any college, apart from the bouncers and lists/passes.

Princeton definatly has a party culture. However, as someone who is not into that scene, I have never felt left out or at a loss for something to do. There is no shortage of people who do party and no shortage of those who don't. The campus and student government do a great job of supplying many alternate events (like free, sometimes early released, movies every weekend!).

There is lots available from partying to catching a few shows, a free movie(pop corn and soda included), hanging with friends, going to an art museum, going to the theater, etc.

There are always many clubs and activities to participate in at Princeton. Also, New York City is just an hour away by train!

There are all kinds of things to do for fun here. If the Street isn't your thing, the university offers free movies every weekend at the local movie theater, complete with buttered popcorn and soda, and there are free talks and concerts offered all the time. On weeknights, there are always loads of study breaks with tons of free food. Also, we're a short train ride away from both Philly and NYC, so the school sponsors tons of trips.
