Lafayette has a Barnes & Noble and since I enjoy reading I find that to be fun. There is also a mall and many movie theaters. We have a couple of bowling ally's, tons of restaurants and a pretty good night life.

There are plenty of parties on campus or house parties off campus. The Union holds events on the weekends. Elliott Hall of Music holds events such as plays, musicals, and other events all the time. You can always find something to do at Purdue. If not you are only an hour away from Indy and two hours away from Chicago.

Anything you want! There are so many weekend activities, sports, and club functions that there is always something to do over the weekend or during the week. The possibilities are endless, and I usually have to make a tough decision figuring out what to do for Friday night. I usually grab my friends and we all go to an improv show, open mic night, fancy dress bowling (our own tradition), or go swing dancing.

Greek Life is huge at Purdue, and they offer a lot of social opportunities such as philanthropies and mixers. There is also something fairly unique to Purdue and similar to Greek Life, called Cooperative Housing. Cooperatives offer a cheap living alternative and also participate in philanthropies and mixers. However, the Cooperative system is very small compared to Greek Life and offers less opportunities but is a very good price.

I go to the Co-Rec, which is our workout facility on campus, to play games, go swimming or workout. I played inter mural volleyball at the co-rec as well. During the winter I go sledding on slater hill. I also cheer on the cheer team here at Purdue, it is a lot of fun.

I am in a sorority and on the cheer team. Both take up much time! So when I'm not at a function or at practice, I am studying, doing homework, eating, watching gossip girl or hanging with friends. If sorority life or sports aren't your style there are so many clubs here that you can join. If you can't find the one you like, you can make your own! Theres something for everyone!

There are a lot of restaurants near the campus. Purdue students ride the citybus for free and those buses can take you pretty much everywhere! There's a bus that will go to the mall, walmart, downtown etc.
