    What to do for fun

If I were looking for something fun to do around Ranken, I would go to downtown St. Louis. You would need transportation, but there is so much to do.

    Food and Dining

I think it depends on the person, but I always hear that the cafeteria has pretty decent food. They have a good variety and not the same meals everyday.

    Dorm Life

I personally don't live in the dorms, but I have a few classmates that do. They have told me that someone comes to their rooms to do room inspections a couple of times a month. Also, I always see fliers for different activities for the dorm students. Since Ranken is in a bad neighborhood (North St. Louis), you really shouldn't leave the campus.

    Academic Rigor

I would say Ranken is very academically rigorous. The grading scale is harsher than most schools (a 93 is an A instead of 90). They expect you to study and if you fall behind, it's your responsibility to catch up.

    Tips for prospective students

If you are thinking about attending Ranken, you need to do your research. This school is fairly expensive to be unsure. If you decide to go to Ranken, just remember the teachers are there for you. If you need help, just ask.

    In three sentences

Ranken is unique because it is not a traditional college. They teach students with hands-on learning and students are graded on appearance and work ethic in the classroom. Ranken holds students to a higher standard than a traditional college.
