Categories Comments Bang for the buck no, Rasmussen isn't a public college or community college, therefor its a little more expensive. I'd rather pay more and know I am getting a good education and know I will receive job placement assistance for life, after graduation.
Am enjoying being here The students and teachers/staff is really friendly and helpful.
Am learning a lot Some of the things I've learned, actually make scene, not just mumble jumble.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Great for non-traditional students who need online courses or flexible scheduling. Also would be good for people just out of high school.
Tips for prospective students Enroll and stay enrolled, even if you have to cut down to only one class a quarter because they guarantee tuition will not increase as long as you stay enrolled. They also offer incentives based on how many credits you are taking.
Bang for the buck The school is a little pricier, but they work with you on so many levels, scheduling, student aid, resources, I feel it is worth the money.
Am enjoying being here Everyone at Rasmussen has been extremely helpful and I haven't had any negative experiences in my 2+ years here.
Am learning a lot I am learning a lot of information in various areas at Rasmussen. They offer a lot of different classes and the online interface is extremely easy to use and learn from.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students I am a single mother with no vehicle. Rasmussen College Online is perfect for people that want to stay at home with their children and have no for sure way of getting to a school every day. I am a full-time student and I'm getting good grades because I can do all my classes online when I want to do them.
Tips for prospective students Utilize the Wimba classrooms. It is so cool to be able to talk with your teacher, even though they are far away. Make sure you check your grades and ask the teachers any questions you may have.
Bang for the buck Although I have a junior college closer to my house and it is not as expensive as Rasmussen, I wanted a better education. It will be well worth the price when I have a degree in two years as opposed to three years because there are too many students in a class, so you have to wait. I think the price of Rasmussen College is worth it, especially when you'll be making more in the future!
Am enjoying being here I like Rasmussen a lot. I like how they have 24/7 technical support and personal support. I really feel like they take time to make the student comfortable and enjoy being a student at this school. When I go to the campus, I really feel like everyone is a family and that they know you. It is really enjoyable!
Am learning a lot I was kind of worried to take online classes, but once I went in to the campus and my program manager was explaining the online curriculum, I knew it was right for me. I have attended two semesters here and I have learned so much, I have already filled out for healthcare jobs!

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Outgoing students. Students that want to learn.
Tips for prospective students If you are going to enroll, don't be afraid to call your student advisor. I talk to my student advisor, every day. I feel that I have a personal relationship with all the personnel.
Bang for the buck Def. worth the tuition.
Am enjoying being here I love the responses you get from classmates. Everyone wants to help you succeed.
Am learning a lot The teachers are very passionate about helping students achieve their goals.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students I am a online student, I like how all my classes can be done online. I also get to explore and set up interviews with officials, I have been on a ride along with the Belleview police department, I have had interviews with the Belleview department of corrections, and now seeing the Ocala department of corrections for my course project.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus They have stress buster, which is where you have ice cones, pop corn, just things for the students that is not always work. They have Halloween rooms during Halloween, and family days where you can bring your family up to mingle.
Bang for the buck I have enjoyed all my classes at Rasmussen college. It would depend on what you are looking for and how one feels about the classes they are taken. I feel all the classes that I have taken are worth my time and money, In the end they do get me ready for the world and my career field.
What to do for fun There are clubs within the college you can be a part of depending on what you like. There is the Techie's club which they help fix computers. For fun you can always Face Book and meet people within the school that have different classes as you.
Food and Dining Ocala has a lot of places to eat and have an enjoyable time off campus. Rasmussen college is a no tobacco campus, which means no smoking. I like that because I am a non-smoker.
Dorm Life I do not live in a dorm. I do not live far from the campus.
Academic Rigor I am very pleased with my academic work load and classes. I like learning, the classes give me many options in reading, both online and in text books. I am able to do added research and explore case study's. Learn how to type up police reports, and how to help the victims of crimes as well.
Tips for prospective students Online classes are the hardest, you have to motivate yourself to get the work done. You have to set aside time for reading, and planning in order to get the most out of your classes. Unlike traditional class rooms you are teaching yourself. If you have questions ask soon as you get the assignment, do not wait. It can take a while for the instructor to email you back. The feedback from your instructors are very important. Also use all sources available to you.
In three sentences Rasmussen college has the most helpful people working there. They want to see you succeed in your goals, they are kind and helping answering all question's before you leave. You get friendly services and most employees of Rasmussen are also students there.

Categories Comments Greek Life Teachers, Student and Tutor assistance is available.
Clubs and Activities Various social networking opportunities are available for online learners.
Great for these types of students On Campus or Online Student.
Bang for the buck Rasmussen College's tuition is not the least expensive, nor is it the most expensive college available; however, they provide solid curriculum, resources, and well rounded staff that are available to help you every step of the way.
What to do for fun The college portal offers several ways to be able to interact socially and become involved with my online education.
Dorm Life Online learning makes obtaining my advanced education possible with my personal life.
Academic Rigor Academic standards at within normal requirements with a strong emphasis to excel.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Hand-in-hand with the education. They understand that the teachers and students need to feel safe so they can all focus on their schooling. So Rasmussen pays very close attention to everything safety.
Bang for the buck The star rate changes from school to school and also depends on what degree you're going for. You don't want to attend their nursing school if going for your digital design and animation degree is all I'm saying. Otherwise, they definitely meet adequate and then some.
What to do for fun A lot of the teachers are pretty laid back so you are able to joke around with a lot of them. Not a whole lot to for fun, other then what the teacher tries to provide. The school is just that focused on your education.
Food and Dining It's adequate, but they're more focused on the schooling itself and realize that there are a lot of restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the school.
Dorm Life There isn't a dorm. . .
Academic Rigor They offer plenty of help when it comes to homework and making sure you get the best possibly grade you can. If that grade isn't an A, then they'll give you the tools you need to make it so.
Tips for prospective students Do your research on their schools before deciding specifically which school you will go to for your desired degree. Not all of their school are specifically set-up for all of their degrees. They don't however take any short cuts, just be sure you're going to the correct school.
In three sentences Rasmussen is a decent school with a solid online set-up. Need to pay a bit more attention to their hardware. However, the teachers intellect on their subjects definitely helps make up for it.

Tips for prospective students Focus, focus, focus. College is about doing the work and learning the stuff. If you focus, the work will get done and you will have the results you want.
In three sentences I haven't started yet, so im not sure. So far it seems really good though, the classes seem like a lot of fun and im excited to start classes soon. Also, the people helping me so far have been really nice and helpful.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Great for students who are scared of big changes, being on campus is like being at home.
Food and Dining Rasmussen is very close (within 5 minutes) of dozens of fast food places, dinners, restaurants and gorcery stores.
Dorm Life Although Rasmussen does not have dorms every student is very nice and helpful, if you stop and ask a random person for directions they will tell you with out being rude. Everyone is nice.
Academic Rigor The classes are hard but the professors are super helpful and you dont have to be scared to ask them a question if you dont understand something.
Tips for prospective students Deffinately set up a meeting with an advisor, they are so helpful and they don't make you feel dumb for asking questions they address all of your concerns. The advisors will help you with all paper work and picking classes.
In three sentences This college is amazing! Everyone is so helpful, and you never feel like you arent welcome. You have help every step of the way.

Categories Comments Campus Safety This college is located above the Social Security Administration building in the government center so needless to say there is a security guard on duty right at the front door, which makes me feel more at ease!
Clubs and Activities I've seen some advertised in the school, I plan on joining some when I start, maybe even starting a new one!
Great for these types of students They have a select group of programs including nursing and design but not limited to those. I think if you're easily lost in large groups and would rather have more connection and one on one interaction with personable and friendly staff, this is the school for you.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I love the fact that they made it look more laid back, fun and artsy rather than so business like and serious. As an artist this is where I belong, in an atmosphere I feel totally comfortable in.
Bang for the buck All around awesome student atmosphere. They have flexible scheduling in a small enough atmosphere where you can actually get to know your instructors and feel comfortable asking them the questions you need to succeed. They even offer Mac and PC so students can be fully equipped to know both (I'm a design student) along with FREE tutoring every day so even if you need help and your instructor isn't available you can still get your homework done with ease!
What to do for fun It's not a university but they do offer many different clubs for students to participate in and they have events all the time advertised through the building.
Food and Dining Cafeteria is very cozy and friendly. Laid back atmosphere where you can even bring friends or family who aren't students if they could help you study or you just want to hang out.
Dorm Life No dorms on site.
Tips for prospective students If you are in need of a college that will meet your individual needs right up front don't feel obligated to go one way. Rasmussen has been completely honest with me and helped me every step of the way in knowing that this is the right choice for me, maybe not for everyone - but I couldn't have picked a better college.
In three sentences The staff are very personable they know me by name and always help me with every aspect of the questions I ask them. The campus is small and personal so I feel comfortable and know I am getting the one on one attention I personally need to succeed. They know about my learning style and even include design tools in the tuition cost on top of that they make the entire process easy and non-intimidating. I already have an Associate but I'm proud to say I will be obtaining my Bachelor from Rasmussen College of New Port Richey, Megan Frey is a saint!

Categories Comments Campus Safety Rasmussen comes out with emails monthly that point out any safety issues that have come to their attention.
Great for these types of students Self driven, parents,
Bang for the buck I went to SCSU and I did not think that I got my money worth from SCSU so I transfered back to Rasmussen. They are very personal and they know you by first name.
What to do for fun St.Cloud has so much to do for fun. It just depends on what you like to do. There is quite a few restaurants and pubs that are fun to eat at. There is the Crossroads Mall which has a lot of stores under one roof.
Food and Dining I attend online school, so I am not sure how the food and dining is.
Dorm Life Rasmussen does not have any dorms on campus.
Academic Rigor The classes challenge you as well as teach you something as long as you complete the homework they assign you.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you don't take more classes than you can handle. Take advantage of all the help they offer to you.
In three sentences I love Rasmussen College. They have very good customer service, as well as instructors who are willing to help you and excel in the classes you take.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus is well-lit and has windows in every classroom. The facility is neat and clean which helps to keep the rip-raff out.... (do people even say that anymore?)
Greek Life There's no Greek Life :-(
Clubs and Activities There are several clubs/ organizations on campus. Almost every major has a club that they can relate to...it's pretty neat.
Great for these types of students Rasmussen is great for ANY student. As a work-study, I see students from all walks of life. We have traditional students, independents, single-parents, second and third degree-seekers, veterans, disabled and gifted students as well. It's awesome!
Bang for the buck One thing I really like about Rasmussen College, is that everything is included in my tuition. From books, to scrubs and even technology & lab fees, there are absolutely NO hidden costs!
What to do for fun There are several clubs/ organizations on campus. Almost every major has a club that they can relate to...it's pretty neat.
Food and Dining The student lounge is nice, clean and relaxing. There are vending machines with tasty snacks that even take our debit/credit cards. There are facilities provided so that we can store our food that we bring.
Dorm Life This campus is small, so there's no dorm. There are however, apartments close-by, in which I live, that are nice.
Academic Rigor The professors treat me like an adult. The material is not spoon-fed, so I'm challenged, but not overwhelmed. When I graduate as an RN, I'm confident that I'll be able to treat and save people's lives!
Tips for prospective students Come in for an info packet and take a QUICK tour with one of the Program Managers. Even the students are willing to give advise!
In three sentences Awesome teacher to student ratio! Everyone knows everyone; very warm & inviting. Technology availability here is great!

Clubs and Activities Many, many opportunities and experiences await any student at Rasmussen College.
Great for these types of students Online students that still want some of the traditional feels of going to school.
Bang for the buck This college is great for the online learner that want to experience college life as close to the traditional students' experiences with the convience of taking classes online and with a busy lifestyle.
What to do for fun Rasmussen College is involved in many different activities and events throughout the areas where the campuses are located. There is always something to do for a Rasmussen student.
Food and Dining The student lounge is great for talking to other students and grabbing a quick snack before classes start!
Academic Rigor These classes push students to do their best to gain a full understanding of their area of academics both online and in the classrooms.
Tips for prospective students Go to the campus near you and talk directly to the staff. Become a real person and not just a name!
In three sentences This college is very personal and interested in helping each student graduate as the best person possible. The professors are also very personal and care about each student, not just as a student, but also as an individual person. The classes are available both online and on campus and can meet each students' needs.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students One thing that impressed me about the college, is that you could do residential and online; whaever suits your needs.
Tips for prospective students Although my field of study is in the medical field, Rasmussen offers a wide arrange of degrees. Whether it is business to ITT; 2 to 4 years and even graduate work.
Bang for the buck Although at first, the tuition may seem high, but when you consider that you books, labs and all the tools needed to complete the course are included; the price is worth it.
Am enjoying being here Rasmussen has made the transition form fear to; looking forward to every week.
Am learning a lot I am entering my 3rd semester in the medical field. I am 56yrs old and returning to school was intimidating. All of the personnel and counselors are very concerned with your personal needs and goals. The instructors are very willing to work with you, as long as you show that you are trying; no matter what your GPA is. They want to see you succeed.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There are no security guards on campus, as it is only one small building and the majority of students are online. For security measures, every person who walks into the school must have a valid student ID or sign in at the front desk, which is located directly in front of the front doors. All other doors on the building are locked so that nobody can get in without the secretary seeing them. There are also security cameras at various points in the building.
Greek Life Rasmussen College in Mankato has no Greek clubs.
Clubs and Activities I am a member of the Justice Studies Club which is a club for Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement students at the Mankato campus. We meet monthly and talk about the criminal justice system, the career field, and our goals. While in this club I have gone on a trip to the MN BCA, Nicollet County Drug Court, and have heard multiple speakers who work in the criminal justice field.
Great for these types of students Rasmussen is a great school for students who are ready to get a good job in their degree field. With accelerated programs and quarters instead of semesters, this is a great school for students who want to get done quickly and still get a good education. Self-motivated students who are ready to learn will fit in well at Rasmussen.
Bang for the buck Rasmussen can be a little on the expensive side, but that is to be expected with a private college. By paying a little more, I am receiving a very career oriented degree with specialized classes and general education to be a well rounded student. I am happy to pay more because I feel I am getting a better college education for my money.
What to do for fun Mankato has many places to go for fun. Wow Zone offers lazer tag, bowling, mini golf, and an arcade. The River Hills Mall has shopping and a movie theater. There are also two other bowling alleys and theaters to visit. Since MN State University is in Mankato, there are Maverick football and hockey games to attend. There is also a large bar and restaurant area downtown for a night out!
Food and Dining Near the Mankato Campus, there are many great places to eat within a 5 minute drive. Buffalo Wild Wings is even within walking distance of the school. A short drive away is the River Hills Mall where you can find a full food court. Also near there is an Applebees, TGI Friday's and Olive Garden. If you don't have time to leave campus, Jimmy Johns and multiple pizza places can deliver.
Dorm Life Rasmussen college does not have dorms but there are many off campus apartments and rental homes in the city of Mankato, which is the campus I attend.
Academic Rigor The online environment is fairly relaxed and offers very flexible learning. There is a lot of work to complete but it is all spaced out to allow students plenty of time to complete it. Sometimes it can be overwhelming having multiple online classes but it really pays off with everything you learn and the flexibility of online learning.
Tips for prospective students Take the time to apply and the admissions at the school will help you through everything. Just call with any questions because they are extremely helpful and will really help you through the process to get started as easily as possible. Also, take the time to apply for financial aid because Rasmussen offers great grants and scholarships!

Great for these types of students All students! There are no labels and stereotypes when it comes to Rasmussen. Everyone gets along and fits in.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There is always something going on. The campus never has a dull moment and the students engage in the activities alongside of their staff and teachers!
Bang for the buck Definitely, not only is the staff friendly, the teachers put their students first.
What to do for fun Fun, now that is something I am all about! I am outgoing so I love being able to meet new people, especially those that have a goal just like I do.
Food and Dining Rasmussen offers typical vending machines and soda machines. However, they do have events like cookouts and holiday feasts that will definitely satisfy the in class munchies!
Dorm Life No dorms, but it would be a great addition!
Academic Rigor The staff and the teachers are amazing. I have learned so much from everyone at Rasmussen!
Tips for prospective students The biggest tip for prospective students would be to talk and ask questions. The counselors, admissions, financial aid, and other staff members have the job of being their to answer questions. Don't be scared, they love answering and assisting!
In three sentences Rasmussen College on a scale of 1 to 10 is a 100! At first I was skeptical, I had a hard time believing a college that advertises on T.V. but this was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Categories Comments Campus Safety This is plus. The campus is directly across the street from the Courthouse and the Sheriff's Department, you can't get any safer than that.
Clubs and Activities Depending on what academic program a student has chosen could ultimately determine what clubs you may want to participate in (i.e., the Nursing Program has the National Student Nursing Association).
Great for these types of students Motivated and focused students would be extremely happy at Rasmussen.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Rasmussen College is one floor above the Social Security Administration Office, and across the street from the Courthouse and the Probation Office.
Bang for the buck Because it is a private college, there is alot more student computer access, newer lab equipment, highly trained faculty and administrators.
What to do for fun Since the campus is located in the business part of New Port Richey, there is easy access to movie theatres, the mall and restaurants.
Food and Dining The lounge has vending machines or you may bring your own food, but the school is centrally located around numerous restaurants (not just fast food), and the campus is located directly across the street from the Courthouse from what I understand has a food cafe with great pizza.
Dorm Life There is no dorm life at the New Port Richey campus.
Academic Rigor The nursing program started out easy and gets harder as you progress. As long as you keep on top of the curriculum and keep focused, a student should do well at Rasmussen College.
Tips for prospective students If you have questions, ask, ask and ask. No question is ever considered the wrong question to ask.
In three sentences I live in the same city as the college that I attend for my nursing degree which is Rasmussen College in New Port Richey and the convenience of getting to school in less than 10 minutes is great compared to having to fight the traffic to travel 30-45 minutes to a university which would be overpopulated with thousands of students and no parking. Rasmussen College is an amazing place for students because they make scheduling for your courses easy through your student portal, send your books straight to your house, and make sure to keep you current and up to date about what is going on through your student email. From the moment that I walked through the door at Rasmussen College they greeted me with a smile and my instructors/other faculty members never hesitated to help with any question or issue that I may have had, they even know me by my voice when I call up to the front administrative office.

Great for these types of students If your lifestyle does not allow you to be physically at a campus for your learning needs, then this is a great option for you.
Bang for the buck At $350 PER CREDIT, I'm not sure I'd categorize it as any type of BANG for My Buck.
What to do for fun I study, study and study some more.... Sacrifice now for rewards later!
Dorm Life Does not apply!
Academic Rigor No comment.
Tips for prospective students If you're going to pursue online learning be prepared to teach yourself way more than you would in a classroom setting. Also consider the issue of... You not being physically present while attending your courses will affect your ability to get answers to questions you have on projects and assignments.
In three sentences There are areas in which I feel they could use some improvement on! When I have questions or concerns I get passed along to several different people. As of this moment, I have issues that have NOT been responded to or addressed.

Dorm Life I do not live on campus, I am in the online school because I also work full time, while attending Rasmussen.
Academic Rigor The classes are in no easy, but you are provided with tutoring online or in person for no additional cost, and the teachers are a wonderful source of assistance.
Tips for prospective students Just meet with someone, take a tour of the campus, and learn about all they have to offer. Setting up a meeting is the first step, once you've done that, you will be able to breathe easier, and sit back and evaluate all they have to offer you.
In three sentences Rasmussen gave me the encouragement and the resources, to go back to school and achieve my goals. There has always been someone just a phone call away if I needed anything at all. Categories Comments Campus Safety Since I don't visit the campus often, I am not sure about campus safety.
Greek Life I don't see this in the school.
Clubs and Activities The school both posts things on their on-line web page, they also send out individual flyers to their students about any upcoming events.
Great for these types of students I enjoyed their classes that taught basic computer skills, as this helped me learn how to cope with my on-line classes. I think that anyone, especially those who are not computer literate, would benefit.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Since the majority of my classes are on-line, I don't know of any unusual traditions or locations on campus.
Bang for the buck I am a divorced mother of four children who are all in their 20's. It is now my turn to make something more of myself.
What to do for fun I work out in the martial arts genre. It helps to have someplace to go to get rid of my frustrations. Hitting, kicking, and sparring usually take care of that.
Food and Dining I have learned to save money, this means dining out is a rarity in my life. If I do go out, it is usually someplace that is fast food as I usually am working under some kind of deadline, whether it is school or work.
Dorm Life I live at home, and have no idea what dorm life is like.
Academic Rigor I have learned that three classes on-line are enough for me, especially since I also work full-time.

Dorm Life There is no on-campus living with Rasmussen College due to the fact that there are a lot more non-traditional students.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Rasmussen College takes the safety of their students to the ultimate level and there is a no tolerance policy for those who go against the policy. I was at the campus last year and a verbal altercation broke out between a student and a teacher and within a few minutes the campus security and other staff members escorted the individual out and they were released later due to the fact that they threatened the teacher and everyone was in fear of their safety.
Greek Life I am unaware of the greek life at Rasmussen College.
Clubs and Activities Rasmussen provides many different opportunities that students, teachers, and faculty can become involved in although there can be certain requirements such as a certain grade point average and overall academic well being. I have not participated in anything as of this time due to all of my outside obligations but I do stay aware of what is being offered. Some of the things that are taking place now include but are not limited to: book studies, work study programs, tutoring groups, workshops on different academic needs.
Great for these types of students Rasmussen is open to all ages, types, and individuals who are serious when it comes to earning a degree in the career of their choice. I find that Rasmussen is flexible and wants only the very best for anyone who is willing to put forth the effort for earning their degree.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Rasmussen has a spirit week in which individuals are able to dress a different way each day of the week such as: eighty's day, hawian day, favorite sports team, and Rasmussen Wear day.
Bang for the buck I have been attending Rasmussen College for two years part time now. I started out in the Early Childhood Education Program but I found out that was not the path that I wanted to take therefore I switched my degree to Business administration and Management. I was just promoted to Administrative Assistant at my current job which is Cintas Corporation and I am very proud. I am seeking out scholarships to help fund my college courses so that the loans will not cause me to have to pay so much back after I graduate. I am pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management and I am looking forward to being an example for my two daughters and help to support the family better. I would rate this college number one in Rockford, Il.
What to do for fun I enjoy reading, walking, family oriented activities, and camping. I am married with two children and we like to do all that we can when it comes to spending quality family time together.
Food and Dining At Rasmussen College their are appreciation days and events where the students are always welcome to participate in being involved with different events such as spirit week and their is cook outs. I have taken my family to children's day where they were able to view the college, eat snacks in our cafeteria, play games, do fun activities, and just spend time with me. I find that with a great environment such as this that is why Rasmussen is so successful.
Dorm Life I do not live in a dorm.
Academic Rigor The teachers, the Dean, and everyone at Rasmussen wants the students to be successful and when an achievement such as the honor roll is achieved the person is then recognized and awarded for this. I have been on the Dean's List a few times and I felt wonderful for being able to do so.
Tips for prospective students Rasmussen College is designed for the fast paced learner who is willing to go to any lengths to do what is necessary in order to fulfill their degree. The possibilities that are there for the students are endless and the staff is always there to help when it is needed.
In three sentences Rasmussen College is a great college with endless possibilities that are offered to individuals that would like to further their careers. I find that Rasmussen is continually working towards the best options for me to be able to attend school, work full time, and be a wife and a mother. I would recommend this college to anyone and everyone.

Clubs and Activities I see a lot of things going on at every campus, which shows you on there website. Of course I don't go to them but you can. It's not just for on campus students, it's welcome to the online students as well.
Great for these types of students If you have a busy schedule and don't have to much money, Rasmussen College Online is the college for you.
Bang for the buck It is very reasonable. For an Associates degree in Graphics Design is $20,000. For the whole thing. That's cheaper than a four year college for a semester.
What to do for fun For what I am going for, Graphic Design, I can play with the Adobe Creative Suite Software that they give you. Also you can talk to classmates and instructors at any time.
Tips for prospective students If you are looking for an online college that will work with you instead of working around their schedule, Rasmussen College is the College to be in. Greek Life This does not apply to me.
Clubs and Activities One thing I notice is that there are plenty of clubs and activities for on-campus students; however, online students do not have as many opportunities.
Great for these types of students Rasmussen's online division is great for students that are self-lead, self-motivated, and determined to make a positive change in their own life.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There are polls on our student portals that ask questions regarding our home-life, and social interactions. The questions renew once every few months.
Bang for the buck I feel that colleges are a bit too pricey; however, I have learned a lot, and have nothing but great things to say about Rasmussen.
What to do for fun There are plenty of interactive materials within Rasmussen's student portal. They also provide polls and a wonderful platform for students to interact and exchange ideas.
Food and Dining This also does not apply to me. I do not attend on campus.
Dorm Life This does not apply to me. I live at home with my family.
Academic Rigor I personally have learned a great deal at Rasmussen College. The assignments are very well thought out, thorough, and easy to learn from. I give them five stars for Academic Rigor.

In three sentences Rasmussen curriculum is very consistent and well structured. The teachers are all on the same page on how they are to communicate with you and the modules and assignments are generally all due on the same day for each class.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck I find value in the experience, it has taught me to be more specific in questions I ask when considering an academic program, The time I have spent with this school has shown me that I can go back to school after such a long absence.
What to do for fun Grammer and Spell check discussion posts by students who should not have met the academic ability requirements for college enrollment
Academic Rigor I came to the health information management program with some background in the subject matter, so found this program to be very academically light weight. I expected to be challenged and learn new things, but was disappointed. In two terms I never once opened a text book and maintained a 4.0 GPA. Weekly discussions can be thought provoking and allow the student to broaden educational horizons beyond the course syllabus with some personal initiative.
Tips for prospective students If you have funding you will probably be admitted. The course content is unchallenging with any kind of background in the health care industry, but with personal effort the assignments can be used as a starting point for self educating. If you have no experience with APA 6th edition formatting and citation check out the Purdue OWL sight before beginning classes. Assignments may need to be in this format from day one.
In three sentences I have found this school to be academically light weight, it is possible to complete long term course projects in one day while still achieving an A grade. The instructors are very helpful, but teach straight out of the approved curriculum, which is out of date in some areas for the health information management program. Weekly discussions on instructor selected topics are the most demanding, though provoking assignments offered.

Tips for prospective students Don't go here!
In three sentences Very disappointed with Rasmussen online. Everything was going great until my third quarter when I got an instructor who did not grade assignments timely, did not respond to questions and was pretty much not available. I ended up dropping the class and was told I would not be refunded, and would have to repeat the class with no guarantee that I would not get the same instructor. I dropped the class even though I was getting a B in the class because I was not learning what I should to be successful in the class and in future classes, and have since withdrawn from the school. I have filed a BBB complaint, we'll see if I get my money back for this class due to the poor instruction received.

Categories Comments Campus Safety It is just a three story building in an area with a big outside mall next to it.
Greek Life There is no Greek Life. The school is not fully grown.
Clubs and Activities They have no clubs for individuals to be apart of but they inform us of activities we could do within our community, such as Habitat 4 Humanity.
Great for these types of students This is an excellent college for self-motivated students who are committed to pursuing an education in Nursing and other degrees they have on campus. If some students do not learn well in a big class setting, then attend this college and you will be in a class of up to about 20 to 25 students, at the most.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I would not think there were any unusual traditions about this campus but on the flip side this campus is near a big outside mall that individuals venture over too from time to time to free their head or grab a bite to eat.
Bang for the buck This college is a private school, so $395 a credit. Many people think that is a lot but if you are trying to get into a Nursing Program and cannot do so at any of the universities, some individuals would have to take this route and spend the money and get a loan.
What to do for fun The campus is close to a big outside mall, so I believe many individuals who attend this college would go their to grab a bite to eat or shop.
Food and Dining They are no food and dining just yet since they have not yet fully grown as a campus but they are really close but not walking distance, from a big outside mall with a lot of different assortments for food.
Dorm Life They have not fully grown as a campus to have dorms but more people are becoming interested in the college, which is helping it grow.
Academic Rigor I am starting the Nursing Program, so I could only help with the academic rigor in the nursing program. If anyone knows nursing, they know it is not just a walk in the park. This is a rigorous program and individuals have to be on their A game throughout the 11 weeks of class. One strong move or mess up could cost you your continuation on in the program. Key tip: Study for every test as if it was your last.
Tips for prospective students Do not be scared to ask your teacher if you do not understand something. The class sizes are made for each person to feel comfortable in the enviorment and be able to ask questions.
In three sentences Rasmussen is a small school with a big inspiration to help change individuals' career's. The college makes sure everyone receives undivided attention in order to prosper. Every employee of the college is well educated and wants each student to achieve the very best.
