Great for these types of students

Liberal, political, artistic, spiritual-seeking, and someone who just wants to experience something new. If you like small classes then Regis is perfect.

    Tips for prospective students

College is tough, never underestimate it. Don't procrastinate, it'll only hurt you in the end. Always try to stay on top of all of your classes by studying everything everyday.

Great for these types of students

Catholics who are looking for a more liberal community but don't want to sacrifice the faith-based aspect of their eduction, people who support social justice and want to attend a school that will offer them many chances to work in the community, and people looking for individualized attention from their professors and a close community with their fellow students.

    Tips for prospective students

    1. Apply for the honors program! 2. Take an English class with Dr. Palmer. (In fact, major in English and take a class with all of the Regis English professors; The entire department is amazing. But if you have to choose one, go with Dr. Palmer.) 3. Do not neglect your scholarship applications! This school really loves to give out scholarships (particularly to math and science majors), but you have to apply! 4. Get your work done early, and do the best you can, even on the little assignments. Teachers know when you're not giving them your best, and Regis teachers are not afraid to call you on it. 5. Get involved! Regis has so much to offer in terms of extra curricular activities, you just need to take advantage of it! Plus, clubs are a great way to meet people! I wouldn't have any of my current friends if I hadn't gotten involved my Freshman year. 6. Live in O'Connell Hall. I choose DeSmet Hall my Freshman year because the rooms are slightly bigger, but the rooms in DeSmet are arranged so ridiculously (particularly the heater and the shelves, which can't be moved) that in practice they're a lot smaller.

    Bang for the buck

As others have said, this school comes with quite a price-tag, but you shouldn't let that discourage you. They offer a wide variety of scholarships, particularly to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. It didn't take long at all before it was cheaper for me to go to Regis than it would have been for me to go to CU Boulder. In the honors program in particular, I know a lot of students who are going here on a full-ride!

    Am enjoying being here

The professors are really friendly and the students are nicer and more open-minded than I ever could have dreamed. Granted, you'll have your snobs or your political extremists (on either side) at any school, but don't ever let anyone tell you that Regis is just a school for rich conservative white kids; We have a great variety of students from all walks of life, and we get along great. There are tons of activities for weekends, and the clubs are always looking for people to get involved. Regis also has a lovely campus with lots of grassy areas where you can curl up under a tree to study or play frisbee with your friends when the weather is nice (or have a snow-ball fight when the weather isn't!) and all you have to do is walk off-campus to find yourself in the middle of Denver with a variety of restaurants and activities available to you.

    Am learning a lot

All of my classes have been taught by brilliant and passionate professors who really care about teaching and want students to succeed, both on tests and in life. Regis provides you with a challenging academic curriculum, but professors and tutors are always very easy to get in contact with if you need help. The small class sizes create a close-knit academic community where you learn from each other as well. The honors program offers an even more rigorous curriculum and an even tighter community of students.

Great for these types of students

Anyone who is committed to their future, hard-workers, and people who love other people!

    Tips for prospective students

Visit the campus in the fall and during the winter. You need to get a good idea of what the campus is like during all times of the year. Talk to an advisor, make sure you know exactly what you need to do to get in, stay in, and finish your college career in a reasonable amount of time. Finally, try to talk to some current students who attend Regis. Get their perspective on it, ask any questions you may have, and see if the crowd seems like the type of crowd you would choose to be around.

    Bang for the buck

While it is an expensive school, I do not feel like I am being ripped off at all. All of the employees have been chosen carefully, and the school is not stingy when it comes to spending money on the students. The food is delicious, everything is always clean, and the campus is overall taken care of very well.

    Am enjoying being here

I love the setting. The campus is located just minutes from downtown, the public transportation can get you just about anywhere from here. Regis is also in relatively close proximity to other universities, which is good for meeting even more people.

    Am learning a lot

While the purpose of college is to learn academically, I am also learning many life skills, which will stay with me forever. Even the professors here teach their subject, while integrating life lessons in to the class.

Great for these types of students

People that like community or like a small school where everyone gets to know each other. Within a short amount of time, it seems that everyone on campus knows each other. If you like knowing everyone around you then this is a great school for you. Also if you actually like learning from the teacher and not just one of their aides.. then this is a great school. Also if you like to get involved both in the school and in the community surrounding the school, Regis is amazing. They give students a million and one opportunities to make their voices heard, and just as many opportunities to help out in the surrounding areas. You really get to know the area you live in, both physically and historically. They really integrate you into the world around you.

    Tips for prospective students

Regis University offers this trip called the first Tracks Trip that I would highly recommend. It's about a week long trip right before school starts, and you get to rock-climb, hike, go white water rafting and spend time with a bunch of really fun people. You meet a lot of new freshman so when school starts you already have a ton of friends. Also when classes come around, just go to class, because some teachers take attendance and the others that don't still notice if you are there or not. Depending on how often you go to class the teacher may like you more. With that, get to know your teachers!! They can be your best friend and end up helping you a lot through a class. They are willing to do A Lot for their students, so don't pass up this advantage of small classes. Also DON'T FORGET TO HAVE FUN!! Half of college is having fun! So don't forget to get out and explore.

    Bang for the buck

The price is very expensive but Regis is exceedingly generous with their scholarships. They make the payment for college much more worth it. However the teachers and staff are supremely qualified for their jobs, and no matter what class you are in you will find yourself learning from a genius. We are supremely fortunate to be taught by their staff. Overall the school doesn't make me second guess what I am paying for.

    Am enjoying being here

It's amazing how friendly and nice everyone is. regardless of how old you are and what grade you are in, everyone here is friendly toward each other. The teachers are awesome and the people going here are great. It's a nice small community.

    Am learning a lot

All of the teachers here are extremely professional and are also very focused on teaching their students. The small class sizes allow for a better environment where we actually learn from the teachers, and if we need help they are usually available and always willing. Whatever you need the teachers are there to help you!

    Hardworking, Outgoing, Volunteers

    Tips for prospective students

Be prepared to study! It is difficult, but not impossible to get good marks here, and go seek help whenever you need it! Take a tour, they are available daily and can show you many aspects of the college life that you would like to know. People here are friendly and eager to lend a hand; Apply!

    Bang for the buck

Regis is expensive, but you get a very personalized and in-depth education. Also, the financial aid office does its best to provide grants and scholarships to students that demonstrate financial need.

    Am enjoying being here

The campus is located near downtown Denver, so whether you are looking for a coffee shop to do some homework or a fun and creative new restaurant, there are many choices just minutes away from campus. Regis also offers a variety of activities during school such as intramurals and the popular thursday thrills weekly entertainment.

    Am learning a lot

The great thing about Regis is that it is a small school and the professors are able to make themselves very available for help after class or to go over assignments personally.

Great for these types of students

Hardworking, Motivated, Students that come from small towns or small schools, People who really want to make a difference in the world.

    Tips for prospective students

I would tell prospective students to be prepared to volunteer. Regis is big on service learning, their motto being men and women in service of others. Regis values giving back to the community and a lot of classes require some type of volunteering that goes along with your class work.

    Bang for the buck

I would say that Regis is worth the amount that you pay to go there. The education is much more personal and can be centered more on the students themselves. The small size of Regis allows for teachers to get to know you by name rather than number and you are really able to spend a lot of time learning from your teachers and fellow students.

    Am enjoying being here

I love Regis. The campus is great and it has a really personal feeling to it. The campus is small and so are the class sizes, so it is easy to get to know people on campus. Also, your teachers actually take the time to get to know you. Another great thing about Regis is because it is so small people you don't even know will say hi to you on campus. It is very down to earth.

    Am learning a lot

Regis has completely opened my mind up to new ideas that I never would have even considered before. The teachers there have really challenged me to think outside of the box and because of that I have learned things that I never thought was possible. It's amazing to find out what one can learn when you just open your mind to a vast array of new ideas.

Regis University has been the best college I have attended out of 3 colleges. They offer mentoring, hold extra learning classes on the weekends for free, and the instructors are great with tutoring and helping you succeed.

    Campus Safety

Great, just a phone call or button away.

    Greek Life

NO GREEK LIFE. Don't come here if you want to be part of a sorority or frat.

    Clubs and Activities

Not nearly as many as a bigger school.

    Bang for the buck

It is expensive. I am an excellent student and get around $18000 in grants and scholarships, which covers about half of the cost. However, Regis has a great reputation and finding a job after you graduate is easy with Regis on your resume.

    What to do for fun

Downtown Denver is ten minutes away. 32nd Ave and Tennyson St strips are close by. The mountains are a 30 minute drive away. It is easy to find fun things to do.

    Food and Dining

Bon Appetit is the food company. They are an environmentally friendly company who makes local food purchases and makes sure foods are organic and meals are healthy but tasty. Not your typical gross cafeteria food.

    Dorm Life

I transferred so I didn't experience the dorm life at Regis. However, it is clear to me that this is where you meet the friends that will be by your side the rest of your college experience. Communal bathrooms, RAs, etc. you will get the dorm life experience.

    Academic Rigor

Like I said above, the professors push you and they know when you aren't in class so you have to go! Classes are small and resources for academic help are rampant.

    Tips for prospective students

Since it's so small, everyone knows your name and your life do so don't get a bad reputation--keep drama low key. I am a transfer student from CSU and the parties are Regis are lame in comparison so if you want the true college experience, go to CSU or CU. The education is fantastic--we have an extensive core curriculum and there may be classes you don't want to take, but they will make you a well-rounded person. You need to know things outside of your major! Other schools don't push for this at all.

    In three sentences

This school is small, it has a high-school feel to it. Your professors know you and care about your success, you are not just a number. Get involved in the community or clubs at school, although they don't have much to offer as far as clubs go because it's so small.

Great for these types of students

Everyone has a niche here, whether coming from an AP/ Honors background or not. However, we do have excellent nursing, pre-med, and business programs for those students. The Visual Arts department is not particularly large, and there is not a theatre class, but there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in both (and many others) if you wish. If you have been active in your community and like to volunteer, this is a great place for you!

    Tips for prospective students

Stay on top of your work, because it really does pile up quickly. High school homework does not necessarily prepare you for college homework, and that will be the same at any university. However, do not forget to get out and enjoy the social scene on campus. Take advantage of every opportunity you can, whether it is getting involved with University Ministry, the Regis Ramblers (the acting troupe), the church choir, Thursday Thrills, or any of the other clubs, organizations, and student events.

    Bang for the buck

The price tag looks hefty, but Regis offers many wonderful scholarships that make it accessible to anyone. They even have a guarantee for students-- if you do not graduate in four years, the remainder is on them. Furthermore, there are so many programs, opportunities, and prizes for free that the money you do pay is really returned to you in one way or another, through your experience here and even afterwards. Among the benefits for former students is the Coors Life Directions Center, which offers career assistance, even after you've graduated.

    Am enjoying being here

The campus is gorgeous, there is always some fun activity to attend, and the classes are enjoyable, but the best part is the people. Everyone here is friendly! Because of its relatively small size, the professors really get to know the students personally, the rest of the staff around campus is always nice and there to help the students to succeed (as you hear from them time and again), and the inter-student relationships are fantastic! People will smile and often say hi any time you pass them. And, of course, it is located in Denver, so if you want to get out, there are a myriad of things to do.

    Am learning a lot

The professors all work very hard to challenge their students, regardless of their level. The Honors Program is excellent and asks for a lot of critical thinking and discussion in seminars. The Commitment Program is also there to help struggling students to graduate. Tutors and professors have very open office hours and are easily accessible, perfectly happy to work around your schedule if you are particularly busy. The idea of cura personalis, or care for the whole person, also plays out in your experience. It is not just learning a bunch of things for class; it is learning about and nurturing every part of yourself and your relationships with the community to be the best possible person.

Students who want a small close knit atmosphere. Class size is small. Regis is smaller than my high school.

    Tips for prospective students

    Apply early!

    Bang for the buck

The price is worth the education you will get here. I have so many opportunities. Opportunities from studying abroad to free laundry in the residence halls.

    Am enjoying being here

I have met so many great people and I am just beginning my second semester. I already have a close knit group of friends. We all are nursing majors. We help each other study for chemistry tests and have classes together.

    Am learning a lot

My intended major is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Even though I am not yet in nursing school, my prerequisites are geared towards nursing. I am learning so much and getting exposed to what I will be encountering in my junior and senior year in nursing school.

Great for these types of students

Regis is great for students that enjoy volunteering, prospective nursing students, and students that want a small school that operates as a close community of students and staff.

    Tips for prospective students

Regis is a great school- but if you want a theatre major, it's not for you. While the extras are great, the first step to choosing a school is choosing an academic program that meets your needs. Also- never initially rule a school out because of cost. Talk to the Financial Aid Dept over the phone or by email and THEN decide if you could afford to attend or not.

    Bang for the buck

As a private school, Regis is expensive, but the Financial Aid office is very accommodating if Federal Student Loans did not meet your financial needs. Also- when considering all of the extras Regis has: weekend activities, Snow Week, Ranger Week, retreats, free tutors, etc. it really adds up to being worth every cent.

    Am enjoying being here

The outside class activities Regis offers really adds to the atmosphere and moral. From Thursday Thrills, to free Friday night movies, to weekend programs such as ice skating or camping- Regis helps you find something entertaining to do!

    Am learning a lot

Regis offers a variety of classes- no matter what your interest. My only complaint would be the lack of a theatre program. Professors and tutors are always available for individual help and you really feel that Regis wants you to succeed academically. Coursework can be a challenge, but that just shows that you are getting what you paid for-- an education!

Students who want to be involved in the community and who want to be challenged in their classes not only to do well academically, but to live a well-rounded life.

    Tips for prospective students

Apply! Don't let cost deter you- there are many ways to cover the tuition and it'll be well worth your time. Come visit campus and stay in the dorms to really observe what it's like to be part of the Regis community.

    Bang for the buck

As a private school, it looks expensive, but they offer many scholarships and grants to help cover tuition. They offer many activities and classes to make it well worth the time and money spent here.

    Am enjoying being here

The people on campus are friendly and there are tons of great student activities and clubs. We have weekly events such as Thursday Thrills (shows such as magicians or comedians) and Friday movies (free tickets to see movies in theater!). There are many great speakers and workshops and campus is lively and fun. It's great to be in an environment where your professors know you by name and you are familiar with most of the students in your class.

    Am learning a lot

The classes here are small and the professors are amazing. They're truly dedicated to making sure YOU know the material and that you are succeeding in your studies. You work hard, but it's worth it because you learn a lot.

    Tips for prospective students

This is a great school with a lot of heart. Go in with an open mind and do not be afraid to get involved. There are plenty of ways to get involved at Regis and most people are a part of something. Either a club, club sport, student government, or the simple attending the weekly thrill.

    Bang for the buck

Though the school is expensive it is worth the money. As much as Regis offers their students makes the money seem as a minor problem. Each week a new event is offered with perks such as free stuff. The quality of the education is worth the money as well. The professors are well educated in their fields and are willing to teach the students as well as possible.

    Am enjoying being here

The Regis community has change me. I feel a closeness with the staff and students of Regis University. I am comfortable to do what I like to do while I attend Regis.

    Am learning a lot

In each of the classes I have taken or am currently enrolled in I have learned adequate information.

Great for these types of students

Regis is great for students that like small classes and easy access to their professors and others for help. It is also great for adverturous students and students that want to serve their community as there are several service project that occur throughout the year such as volunteering at homeless shelters in Denver and going to different states to help with Habitat for Humanity.

    Tips for prospective students

My biggest tip for prospective students is to not be afraid of the financial aid office. They will help in every way in order to help you pay for your education from help completing FAFSA and COF to helping you find more money. Another tip is to visit the campus if you are able to do so. It is a beautiful campus with a wonderful view of the Rockies. It also helps because you can get aquainted with the campus and you can get a $200 credit off your tuition. Lastly, don't let the fact that Regis is a Catholic university scare you away. Its Jesuit Catholic, so they do things a little different. They are very welcoming of everyone so don't be shy!

    Bang for the buck

Regis is on the pricey side but attending this university is well worth the cost. By attending this university, you will have access to amazing professors, small in-depth classes, unique learning programs and so much more that it couldn't all be described. Also Regis is generous with its scholarships and grants.

    Am enjoying being here

I am absolutely happy here. Regis is located in close proximity to downtown Denver and its happening art and theatre scene, restaurants, and museums. It is also close to bike trails that reach from past Denver all the way up to Golden, Colorado. Lastly, everyone is extremely friendly from the faculty, students, and staff to the community that surrounds the campus and beyond.

    Am learning a lot

The professors are extremely helpful and kind. The classes are extremely varied and interesting and there are copious ways to learn outside of the classroom. I was also able to learn so much about myself in just one year of being at Regis. Being a Muslim on a Jesuit Catholic campus, I had my doubts about fitting in and being comfortable at my new school. However, I was welcomed with open arms and numerous friendly questions about myself and my faith and in turn I had many questions.

Great for these types of students

If you don't mind extra work and being stressed all the time, giving up real parties for study parties, and less sleep, college is for you. If you want deeper thinking on top of all that, Regis is for you.

    Tips for prospective students

Go to class, and pay attention when you're there. You soak in so much more knowledge and then you can use it and talk about it later. Using your knowledge is what it's all about. Also, get used to time management. Splitting up time for friends, food, work, sleeping, and studying is hard, but you have to prioritize EVERYTHING.

    Bang for the buck

This school is not cheap, and my family and I have to pinch every penny we can so I can go here. It's a struggle, and sometimes it gets annoying how pricey things can be...until I compare my school to other schools. A degree from Regis will eventually pay me back, getting me into better jobs in my field, since it has such a heavy reputation.

    Am enjoying being here

I loved living in the dorms, and I love walking across the campus and seeing about a dozen people I know. The small community makes it feel like it really is about us. When I see my professors, they not only know my name but can remember when I was sick and we can have a real conversation. I also love having the Chapel on campus, so it's a 3 minute walk to Mass, and I know over half the people at each Mass! It's a great experience.

    Am learning a lot

I have started to realize how much paying attention in school paid off - everything starts to make more sense and connects back to each other, increasing my understanding of everything!

Great for these types of students

This school is a Jesuit Catholic school, but I would recommend it for people of all faiths. I, myself, don't really have a religious affiliation, my roommate is a Buddhist, and I also have a Muslim friend. None of us feel any pressure from the Catholic presence on campus. I also recommend this school for people who really want to make a difference in the world and want to become better people, because the Regis community wants not only to give you an education, but help you become the best human being you can be.

    Tips for prospective students

    1) Visit campus, it's small and beautiful and just minutes away from downtown Denver, and also close to the pristine Rocky Mountains. 2) Look for scholarships, because they are everywhere. 3) Get super involved because you will meet tons of different people and make great friends and 4) Don't hesitate to ask questions because to the people here you are more than just you're tuition dollars; they really want to help you with your education and your personal development.

    Bang for the buck

Honestly, I know that Regis is a pretty expensive school, but they really do have great scholarship opportunities. I don't know anyone on campus who isn't receiving some kind of scholarship from the university. All you really have to do is keep your eye out for the different scholarships that come up. Also, all freshmen and most upperclassmen receive a student employment opportunity, where they can work on campus and earn money while making connections with professors and other people who can help them out throughout their college careers. Finally, you get a lot of extra perks for the money you play. There is an excellent Fitness Center that is completely free, great library help, free tutors, all athletic events are free to students, intramural sports are free, free parking, and clubs are all free.

    Am enjoying being here

There are always lots of activities going on around campus for students to participate in, and all the students and faculty want you to get involved. My first week on campus, upperclassmen came in the residence halls and let all the freshmen know that they were welcome to come play volleyball or basketball at open gym. Also there are a huge number of volunteering opportunities. For example, a group of friends and I volunteered at a Step Up for Down Syndrome walk, and my dorm floor is adopting a family. The community is super open and accepting of all types of people. Even the professors want you to get involved. Just last weekend we had a bowling tournament/pizza party where the Psychology/Neuroscience majors took on the Psych/Neuro faculty for rights to put their name on the trophy. The faculty won, but we won't go there :)

    Am learning a lot

One of the best things about attending Regis University is the small class sizes. I love the fact that there are only 15-25 kids in each of my classes and that all my professors know me by name. Also, as a liberal arts school with widespread core requirements, I am taking classes in disciplines I never would have thought of and have found new subjects that are interesting to me. Another great thing about Regis is the fact that they have a free tutoring program, that's right free! There are tutors for nearly every subject and it is actually part of their workstudy to help you, so all you have to do is make an appointment. They also have a great Writing Center and Library where people are willing to help you with any part of writing a paper, whether it's research, grammar, or format.

religious or not, regis is great for mature and moral students who want to have a meaningful and educational college experience.

    What to do for fun

so much to do in denver colorado! elitch gardens is a short drive away, not to mention areas for skiiing and snowboarding close enough for a day-trip.

    Academic Rigor

well known, accredited, liberal arts college with the jesuit commitment to both faith and education.

    Campus Safety

The campus at Regis is very safe. There is almost always a security guard in sight. Also, there are plenty of call boxes in the parking lots making the late night studying less dangerous and there is a great counseling department that helps ensure that students who need help with anything are not left to their own devices.

    Clubs and Activities

There are various clubs and activities for every kind of student. There are honor clubs for the typical nerd; sports activities for the casual jock, and outing events for the typical kid.

Great for these types of students

Regis University is great for a myriad of students: the geeks, socialites, learning impaired, and various others. The geeks will strive in the competitive atmosphere, the socialites will enjoy the close nit relationships that can be formed so easily at Regis, and the students who have typically had a difficult time in the past can benefit from the closer teacher student relationship. Thus, Regis is great for various students.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

I don't know what to say about unusual traditions on campus.

    Bang for the buck

Regis University is a prestigious university offering an amazing education. Each student has the opportunity to build relationships, not just with their peers, but also with their professors. The close relationships foster a unique dynamic that really helps the student to achieve not only academic success, but success in life. That success is priceless.

    What to do for fun

For fun, Regis has retreats, sporting events, speaker meetings, and various other activities that one can participate in.

    Food and Dining

The Grill is an amazing place to stop by and have a quick snack on the way to your next class or to enjoy an entire conversation over a great meal. The food's not exactly 5 star, but the people and environment make up for what the quality lacks.

    Dorm Life

Personally, I never lived in the dorm. However, I have heard that many people enjoy the dorm life at Regis. The buildings are clean, simple, and a student can really make it their own.

    Academic Rigor

Regis is far from easy. It has tested my limits time and time again both academically and mentally. However, the professors and administration at Regis always strive to help it's students, so as to prevent breaking, and help with a little bending.

    Tips for prospective students

Prospective students of Regis University should be prepared to ask the bigger, deeper question: How ought I to live? Therefore, Regis is not easy. Students need to understand how they will become part of the whole here at Regis and, as such, they will become apart of something, outside themselves.

    In three sentences

Regis University allows students the opportunity for inner exploration always encouraging the continual search for values, truth and a just existence. Regis challenges it's students to attain the inner freedom to make intelligent choices and always strive to help the community. As such, Regis is a five-star school, always pushing it's students to make the biggest societal and individual contributions possible, thus, hitting a level of overall excellence.

Great for these types of students

Regis is great for those students who like to be outdoors because it is a beautiful campus and there are many opportunities to go camping, backpacking, or skiing and snowboarding. This school is also great for those students who want a larger school body but may not be ready for a student population the size of a typical state college or university. Also if you are not sure about a major Regis has a large core which provides students with many options allowing students more options to choose majors from.

    Tips for prospective students

Don't panic when you get ready to start. It is very possible to manage your free time, studying time, and work time. If you have the possibility to have a work study take it because it can also be a great time to study. Give yourself a doable workload and don't schedule too many classes. When buying your books typically try to rent them and also check other sources like Amazon. However, if you get your books from Amazon make sure you get the right copy or edition of the book. Make the effort to put yourself out there and make friends. The cafeteria food is never as bad as they make it sound.

    Bang for the buck

At Regis, you definitely get your bang for your buck because they have many activities and events for the students to participate in. Some activities included Ranger week which is a full week of different activities, there is a special deal on recently released movies, and there is Thursday Thrills where they bring in a group or put on an activity for the students. There is also free parking and laundry and the student center also gives out bus passes.

    Am enjoying being here

I have truly enjoyed my time at Regis because it provides so may options for getting involved. They have many clubs, intramurals, and activities students are able to participate in. There is usually always something going on somewhere on campus, you just have to look for it. They provide many opportunities to get involved in the community. Another benefit is that you are pretty close to downtown Denver so there are also many options to spend time off campus as well.

    Am learning a lot

Coming into Regis I didn't know what to expect on how much I will be studying and how difficult classes are. After studying here for a year I have learned to manage my schedule to take the most classes possible while still getting as much out of my classes as possible. I wouldn't necessarily say that the work is extremely difficult but rather that because of its expansive core I am learning a lot more new subjects that I wasn't technically expected to learn in high school.

    Bang for the buck

Being a private school, Regis is going to be more expensive. This was something I knew when I was applying here. But when I compared Regis to some other schools I was applying to (such as the University of Denver), I found out that Regis was actually the better choice. Not only was Regis slightly less expensive, I received a lot more in scholarships and had more opportunity for scholarships. Not only this, but the campus is beautiful!

    Tips for prospective students

    1. Work hard on the essays for your application. Being a private school allows Regis to to be more selective. It might not be so easy to get in for you as for some students. 2. Take and retake the ACT and/or the SAT. The chances of getting a great score improve as you get to know how the test goes. Also: practice for the test so you know what to expect. 3. Put down any and all extracurricular activities you did in high school. And if you aren't in any, join some! Getting a well-rounded student who loves to participate in multiple school activities is a plus for schools.

    In three sentences

Applying here was soo easy; the application was easy to access so was the information I needed. After I applied, I felt like I received my response super quick. After that, making my decision was easy as pie when I got all the financial aid, housing, and other information I needed.

The Regis campus is never boring. There is always something to do that's exciting. The classes will never be very simple and the professors will never blow you off if you need help.

    What to do for fun

When you go to Regis, there is never a day when there isn't something going on. On Thursday, we have Thursday thrills, which varies from a comedian performing or an activity out on the quad. We also have free movie Friday. Every Friday, the student life faculty buys a certain amount of movie tickets to a new release movie and the first people to get there go see a movie. It's really fantastic.

    Food and Dining

The food is great! I don't eat on campus very much just because, as I said, I am a commuter student but the food is great when I do eat it.

    Dorm Life

I am a commuter, so I don't live in the dorms, but I've heard many great stories from the students who live in the dorms.

    Campus Safety

During my time at Regis I felt incredibly safe. Regis campus safety is superb because for every dorm people are required to have a card to get into the building and must prove their identity to enter the building. From there it is Desk Assistants make sure students stay in while strangers stay out.

    Greek Life

Sadly there are not a lot of sororities or fraternities, but again they have a lot of activities for students to mingle. If you are looking for a party school, Regis is not one of them. They take their academics seriously and do not encourage parties.

    Clubs and Activities

At Regis University they try to provide a variety of clubs and activities for their students. The best thing about Regis is that they try to bring different people together by having different place for them to gather and communicate. This aspect of Regis allows for students to get comfortable with their environment.

Great for these types of students

If you want a smaller school and a liberal arts degree this is the place for you. This school tries to bring students in two that they can understand the importance of having a community and spreading the importance of unity. They focus on bringing students together through academic and actives.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

A yearly tradition for Regis University is Ranger Week. It is a week that is dedicated for to students to have fun by holding fun activities and events where students can win prizes. Then on actual Ranger Day the school goes all out by having free food and amazing activities that make it amazing.

    Bang for the buck

There are many scholarships and grants that Regis offers to make their tuition affordable for their students. This is incredibly useful for students like me because without them it is hard to afford their tuition. With that I would say that Regis was worth the tuition I spent.

    What to do for fun

On campus, Regis keeps their students entertained with weekly events. They have events like; Thursday thrills, movie night, guest presenters, and much more. It is easy to keep oneself occupied at Regis.

    Food and Dining

Regis believes in eating healthy and buys its ingredients from local farmers to ensure their students health. They try to give their students a different variety of food in the cafeteria by making food from different countries. They also have a grill where you can pick up snack foods, which was personally my favorite way to dine.

    Dorm Life

The dorms are small, but this allows for more interaction between students. The Residents Assistants are required to come up with activities for the residents, so it is easy to go out and meet people. It can be difficult living in the dorms, but it is an experience worth having.

    Academic Rigor

With Regis being a smaller university, the teachers are able to interact more with their students than at other universities. With this the teachers are able to meet any students needs and are happy to help students with their studies. The teachers take their subject seriously so you will learn many new ideas and ways of thinking.

    Tips for prospective students

Regis University is a smaller university with only 1,000 students attending. I personally liked this because I felt a part of a community, but with it being a smaller school they cannot offer a wider variety of classes. Despite its lack of variety, the classes that are taught are amazing.

    In three sentences

With my experience, I found that it was easy to get involved in activities with Regis University. In both clubs and academics I found Regis University to be superb. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to further their college experience.

Regis is Hard. The academic rigor is based upon jesuit values for most courses, so is either a hit or miss for most people. I have struggled with some classes but I have realized that everything we learn is relevant.

    Tips for prospective students

    In three sentences

Regis is great place for academics. The small classes high graduation rate are some benefits as a student. Also the financial aid package has a scholarship from the university for almost every student.

    Academic Rigor

Here at this college, you only have once time to fail a class before you are disciplined for that mistake. I appreciate the fact that they care and they want you to care as well.

    Tips for prospective students

Do not think that you HAVE to know what you want to do or be before you start college; just go to college and it will eventually come to you as you begin taking courses. If you already know what you want to do or be, go volunteer in that area to make sure that is something you want to do. Check it out and make yourself comfortable before surprising and disappointing yourself. Give your best at everything you do, even if it not a class or a paper that you particularly like. Not every class will be fun but it will benefit you in the long run.

    Campus Safety

Regis is located on 81 acres and has between 5500 and 6000 students. The teacher student ratio is 13-1 which is phenomenal. I am confident of the safety on this campus. However, parking has become a bigger challenge . . .

    Clubs and Activities

I haven't been involved in extra activities, but there are plenty available for the leisure student. Additionally, Regis requires a high level of community service and participation in interacting with others. This involvement is widely available and a focus of the learning environment.

Great for these types of students

Ambitious, focused, energetic and willing to work with other students and assist in their success together.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

There are about 11 trees on campus that have state and national recognition for their size, form and species. They are well cared for and tours are often taken on campus by botanical societies and gardeners. The campus is well groomed and cared for. Another interesting note is the Statue of Sacred Heart of Jesus at Regis University with Latin writing. A Latin scholar once read it and verified that there is no meaning to the words that are inscribed on the plaque. The statue however is beautiful, and one of many statues on campus which receive attention and recognition. Main Hall is the oldest building, built in 1887 and it marks the highest point in the Denver vicinity. It also supposedly has a cell phone tower transponder in the cross on top of the building because of its location.

    Bang for the buck

Any quality education with high test passing rates and good job placement is worth the investment!

    What to do for fun

Study . . . Although there are plenty of other options in Denver. Denver is a great community with a lot of biking and hiking trails, dog parks and walking paths. There is a variety of entertainment, and clubs in Denver. It is both a good singles environment and family town with options available from Broadway plays to escaping to climb a nearby fourteen er. Resort towns like Estes Park, Winter Park and Steamboat springs are always fun adventures and escapes for a few hours. Skiing doesn't get better than in Colorado. Experience the mountains year round!

    Food and Dining

There are a variety of options available on campus. The student union has decent campus food. The banquets and catering on campus has always been good, with choices for many diets. I've never had anything to complain about with their food!

    Dorm Life

The dorms are nice buildings right on campus that look like part of the other campus buildings. I have not lived there, but they are well kept and updated.

    Academic Rigor

This is a fast paced learning environment. The academics are taught with current concepts and hands on experiences. Regis University has a good reputation and coordinates with local hospitals for their clinical placement of students. The academic programs are intense enough that many students use the counseling center on a regular basis to help them get through the challenges. There is a supportive environment on campus and a network of students and faculty that engage in aggressive learning and education. The manuals and resources for learning are recommended as required and optional reading. There is much information available for student learning. Real life stories, case analysis, projects, medical codes, and guides are an integral part of the learning environment. Although Im sometimes overwhelmed, I can see the value in the information we read and are being exposed to. This background information and constantly reassessing and evaluating codes, policies and our personal ethics prepares us for situations that we will face in clinical settings and in a work environment. A person must be prepared for the rigorous environment at Regis University.

    Tips for prospective students

Know what to expect beforehand. Visit the campus and read reviews from students who have attended Regis University. Learn about the department and the major that you want to study. Regis has some accredited programs that are worth the extra tuition, some programs perhaps are equivalent at other universities. Prepare for a quality education at Regis. Teachers and administrators want students to succeed and move into their desired career fields, not stay at the school long term. Regis teachers care about the current topics and trends in each program. There are a high percentage of teachers with doctorate degrees who research and write on a regular basis. They care about teaching you the most current information.

    In three sentences

Regis is a great private university with a clean, beautiful atmosphere and environment and a focus on each individual student. The class sizes are small and comfortable and the teachers are caring and interact well with students. In-depth concepts and hands on experiences are taught that will benefit students in their future careers.

    What to do for fun

I mostly just enjoy hanging out with the other students. They are all amazing people. Very genuine, very nice. Cliques are practically absent. I felt like I fit in at Regis from the time I first arrived there.

    What to do for fun

Regis University is about 10 minutes from downtown Denver, so there's rarely a dull weekend. The university also puts on events and has numerous groups and clubs that take advantage of all that Colorado has to offer. These groups go rock climbing, white water rafting, skiing etc. There are many things to do in spare time.

    Food and Dining

The eating plans are great, but the food can be expensive without a plan. With that being said, the dining is very health oriented complete with organic and vegetarian food.

    Dorm Life

The freshman dorms are very small, and the buildings are very old. Upper classmen dorms are very much like apartments. These apartments are still on campus, but are very independent, and are put together nicely.

    Academic Rigor

Regis University is known in the community for being a rigorous school. The small class sizes promotes a great amount of attention from professors, thereby increasing accountability of the students and expectations by the teacher.

    Tips for prospective students

Despite the Catholic influence, don't feel turned off if you are agnostic or atheist. There are professors of every background and religion, so don't feel there won't be acceptance in the absence of your own Catholic background. Come to Regis with an open mind and an open heart as Regis University strongly promotes social action! Regis is a wonderful school, but it IS different than many other public schools. You NEED to stay on top of your studies, and there is no room for procrastination. You'll find, however, that most everyone is this way, so no need to feel secluded if you choose to study rather than go out...because many people will be making the same decision.

    In three sentences

Regis University is highly focused on social justice and doing service to the community and especially the underpriveleged throughout the world. They emphasize jesuit teachings in thinking how we should live and lead our lives. They also emphasize the educational development of the undergraduate student as reflected by small class sizes and funding of undergraduate programs.

    Tips for prospective students

If you're looking for a great adult learning program, this is the one.

Regis is a great school. Their values and diversity are what I was looking for. The C PS program is great.

    Campus Safety

Campus Safety is great to work with (if you have to work with them, but let's hope not). Campus Safety works hard to ensure the safety of students around campus, including who comes onto campus and where they are.

    Greek Life

    There is no Greek Life.

    Clubs and Activities

Regis University offers a range of clubs as well as intramural and official sports. If there isn't a club that supports what you want or have in mind you are always more then welcome to start your own. The process is easy others are always there to give you a helping hand should you need it.

    What to do for fun

Regis University offers exciting and surprising events on Thursday nights as well as Friday nights. The event is often unknown until the week or day of.

    Food and Dining

Regis University had a wide variety of dinning experiences to chose from, all of which offer great new foods to try. There is the occasional day where the food isn't so great in one cafe so you are more then welcome to go to another cafe where you are guaranteed to find something you like.

    Dorm Life

The dorm life is exciting and never ending. With Resident Assistants planning events there is never nothing fun to do, but rather always something to keep you entertained. Resident Assistants and Peer Ministers help you adjust to the college life and are welcoming and create a safe comfortable environment.

    Academic Rigor

Courses are designed to be intensive, challenging, and rewarding. No matter how hard the class is you always get something out of it and learn something new and interesting.

    Tips for prospective students

By never losing sight of your dreams you can easily work your way through anything the University throws at you no matter what it is. Never forget where you are going or what you want to do.

    In three sentences

A welcoming University that strives for excellence and pushes you to succeed as well as complete your best work. Regis University is a private University with strong morals, academic integrity, and hardworking environment.

    What to do for fun

There is always something going on at Regis and they make sure to send you emails with all of the info to make sure you are involved. Every Thursday there is Thursday Thrills in the pub and the acts are always interesting. Don't be worried about being bored, the fun will come to you.

    Food and Dining

The food at Regis is really good. They have a lot of healthy options and different areas around campus to get food. If you want to sit down and eat with your friends then the dining hall is a great place for that. If you just want a quick bite then the cafe just across from the dining hall is quick, easy, and really delicious. Not to mention the Starbucks.. If you want something to go or just different from what they have at the Main Cafe then Claver Hall is a good spot. The Cafe at Claver has a variety of food options and I like the food from there better.

    Dorm Life

Dorm life is interesting and definitely a change if you've never shared a room before. Most people I know get along with their roommate, but I have heard some horror stories. It takes a while to adjust, so if you don't seem to be getting along with your roommate just give it some time because this might be new for them too. You and your roommate are probably going to be spending a lot of time together during orientation because you may not know anyone else yet, so use that time to get to know each other better. Most importantly, make sure you set a schedule or some ground rules for the room, to prevent any possible issues.

    Academic Rigor

Classes at Regis can be hard, especially when you don't know what to expect at the beginning of the year. Some classes assign reading for every night and some classes you will rarely open a book. A lot of the work done depends on you, and whether you feel you should do it. Some teachers assign reading and some suggest reading; bottom line, always read. It will save trouble when you try to study for any upcoming exams. Although it may seem like a lot of work, there are plenty of resources around campus to help. I would suggest going to the library, the Writing Center, and most importantly your professors.

    Tips for prospective students

This applies to all students, not just those on planning to attend Regis: Take the deadlines seriously and get your FAFSA filled out as soon as you can because this will affect your finacial aid, and we all need the help we can get to pay for school. I would also suggest you go visit the campus before you commit to any school because so people like the smaller campus and others do not find that it is the place for them.

    In three sentences

Regis is an awesome school. The tuition may seem intimidating but it is well worth it. The school is much smaller, allowing for a better more personalized education because the teachers get to know you better.

I do not live in the dorms, but different campuses have different options. In the CPS there is an abundance of vending machines at most of the campuses.

    Dorm Life

I do not live in the dorms.

    Academic Rigor

It really depends on your instructors. Most of my instructors have required rigorous academic work, however, some of my classes have not.

    Tips for prospective students

Get connected with your adviser, utilize his/her knowledge of the program. I would recommend taking classes in person, very few of the instructors who facilitate online courses have good involvement in the course (either totally absent or too general).

    In three sentences

I love Regis University's College for Professional Studies. My classes are interesting, relevant, and the majority of my instructors have been wonderful. The flexible schedule works well for my family.

    Campus Safety

Patrols are everywhere and the campus has very few crimes occur on campus. Also, you can find call buttons in all of the parking lots.

    Greek Life

There is no Greek life at Regis.

Great for these types of students

Those who like small class sizes and are committed to their education.

    What to do for fun

Regis provides some spectacular entertainment and they always try to keep a variety of activities going on during the week. On the weekends, there are usually movie nights and the mountains are only a couple of hours away. There is plenty of time to go skiing or hiking on the weekends.

    Food and Dining

The food here is spectacular and grown locally. The cafe has the best food in is open for most of the day. Also, there are plenty of places to eat that are all within walking distance.

    Dorm Life

The freshman dorms can be a little noisy, but the upperclassman dorms and the resident's village are pretty relaxed. There is always something going on here in the dorms and you will likely find something to do.

    Academic Rigor

The liberal arts education that Regis provides means that students will have to take courses that are outside of their comfort zone. Also, the classes are all challenging and for those who have taken AP classes, expect a similar work load for your typical freshman courses.

    Tips for prospective students

Lots of community service! Regis' mission is directly related to helping the community, so the more time that you put into your community service, the more likely you are to get into school here. Also, try to go for the science scholarship exam as it is a full tuition scholarship. A final note is to take as many AP classes as possible.

    In three sentences

Regis University is a fantastic School and I truly enjoy attending school here. The class sizes are small and students always have access to their professors. The community here at Regis is vibrant and and an excellent place to call home.

    Campus Safety

Being a smaller campus I think greatly adds to the sense of safety that I feel everyday at Regis.

    Bang for the buck

While Regis is slightly more expensive than other schools, I do think that the extra cost is worth the quality of education that the students receive.

    What to do for fun

Regis host Ranger Day at the end of every academic year. It is a fun filled day where the campus is turned into a carnival.

    Food and Dining

Being a small school I think it is difficult to have greater options for food but it has improved since I began attending.

    Dorm Life

I have commuted to Regis for the majority of my time at the University.

    Academic Rigor

Regis is a challenging school but I would say that it is extremely effective at pushing students to do their absolute but is also not so rigorous as to become something too difficult. Regis faculty works individually with people at their level of academic achievement to help them improve.

    Tips for prospective students

Engage with your professors and also your peers, Regis is a great place to build a community and achieve academic greatness. Also be ready to work with others because Regis highly values working with other people because that is how a future career will be.

    In three sentences

Regis clearly values academic achievement very highly. They value each student as an individual and work closely with people's individual circumstances. Regis gives students a good sense of community that they can be proud of.

    Campus Safety

I didn't know it was possible to have this many security guards on campus. Campus safety is superb.

    Bang for the buck

Most students have some type of scholarship. I don't think I have ever run into a student that didn't receive any funds to attend. The private school education is really worth it.

    What to do for fun

There is literally and endless amount of fun at Regis and most of it is free. Every week we get an email from students activities telling us about the free Friday movie. All we have to do is go pick up bus passes and the movie tickets and we can go to the movies. Every other week student acts will take students off campus to places like The Big Jump (think of jumping on giant trampolines). They even took students to see the Blue Man Group this past semester. Keep in mind, it's all free. When it comes to on campus fun we have what we call Thursday Thrills. Every Thursday night, Regis puts on something fun. We've had a chainsaw juggler, a mindreader, and The Regurgitator. On any given day, students are usually outside playing sports since the weather is so great.

    Food and Dining

Cafeteria food is usually not that great. It always seems like the cooks are trying to impress the students but always fail. For example, we can't just have a regular grilled cheese and regular macaroni and cheese. The grilled cheese has to have onions in it or the macaroni has to have squash or something. I understand that some people like adding new things to their food, but Regis should definitely to have the option of not having weird additives. There is another option. Ranger Grill is great for grilled foods like hamburgers. Also, the coffee shop brews Starbucks coffee.

    Dorm Life

Regis definitely does not have the nicest dorms out there, but the experience gained from living in them is so much more rewarding than living the high life. The lounges in the residence halls always have people in them and the RAs plan as many fun activities for residents as possible. It's really the best way to get to know people.

    Academic Rigor

Science classes tend to be much more difficult than any other classes on campus. Even if the class isn't a lab science, it requires much more reading and outside of class studying to get a good grade. Generally core classes like religion, writing, and english are fairly simple. Core classes generally just require that you write papers and don't always have final exams.

    Tips for prospective students

Use RateMyProfessor.com to really get a feel for what types of professors are at Regis and try to get a feel for how certain professors teach. I would also suggest having some spare cash to go to the grocery store or to the grill on campus (the cafeteria food isn't the best) if you plan on attending. In general go to Regis for the all around experience, not just because it has the programs you want.

    In three sentences

Regis is great for the all around person. In addition to teaching students about their major, the large core class requirements really broaden one's way of thinking. Professors and the Jesuit priests on campus really challenge students on a personal level to help students grow in ways other than simply academics.

Great for these types of students

If you really want to a place that you can get to know your professors and they will actually want to teach you, this is a great place to go. You can't really go anywhere better if you actually want attention from faculty. Undergrads get a huge amount of liberties that are usually only allowed to grad students and students all take away from that. People genuinely care here. It's a great place to live and learn and grow.

    What to do for fun

Colorado is full of things to do. Either go downtown with some friends. Go up to the mountains, camping, skiing, etc. Pretty much a great place to live with options in every direction as long as you try to get out there. f you really want to go to an all out party, take a bus to boulder or get a ride and enjoy the fun of CU.

    Food and Dining

The food is good sometimes in the main cafe. They tend to give a good amount of options but it usually isn't the best options. The grill is amazing though and also works for a meal swipe.

    Dorm Life

The dorms are small but the people there make it worth it. Getting people in is definitely a hassle but it's all for your safety. The people are great and short of being an idiot it is generally easy to enjoy.

    Academic Rigor

The academic aspect of it all is very important, the teachers push you as you want them to. If you express what you want, they will push you a little more than what you asked for. They account for what you want and treat you accordingly. There is a consciousness for the other types of teachers that are on campus. Depending on the program you will have a lot of work to do. Each class pushes you to grow in not just that subject but it's purpose and the dynamics of it all.

    Tips for prospective students

You have to be very open to the idea of a small school. Having someone in the area is a good idea because you can't just meet new people and at times it can get a bit boring. You don't need a car, it's a small campus and Denver has a great public transportation system along with rental cars programs from the school.

    In three sentences

Regis is a small school but it sets big goals for whatever you want to do. The faculty wants you to do well while also pushing you to get out into the world and contribute. Being a Jesuit school allows you to not just look at yourself, but at the world and your place in it.

    Campus Safety

Our security guards are always walking around campus, 24/7. There are safety boxes located around campus in case anyone needs help.

    Greek Life

Regis doesn't have any undergraduate sororities or fraternities.

    What to do for fun

The surrounding city of Denver offers a multitude of things to do: Great places to eat, sporting events to go to, and shopping everywhere. In addition, Regis's Office of Student Activities is usually great about providing fun activities on campus almost every day. They also frequently give out movie and sporting event tickets.

    Food and Dining

There aren't very many places to eat on the Regis campus. There is a main cafeteria and a smaller venue known as the grille. The cafeteria offers breakfast, lunch & dinner Monday through Friday, and brunch and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays. The quality of the food isn't all that great and sometimes it isn't thoroughly cooked. They focus a lot on organic, healthy foods, which isn't always a big hit with college students. The grille, however, has a pretty good menu and they make the food to order.

    Dorm Life

The dorms are pretty standard. There are two freshman dorms and they offer community style bathrooms and common lounge areas. Boys live on one of side of the floor while girls live on the other. There is one upperclassmen dorm where sophomores, juniors and seniors can live. Regis is also pretty strict about visitors of the opposite sex, even in the upperclassmen dorms. Residence Village is a set of on campus townhouses that houses six students. It's a lot more freedom than the freshman and upperclassmen dorms. Upperclassmen can live here.

    Academic Rigor

Regis offers a variety of classes, ranging in difficulty. Some classes are indeed more difficult than others, but Regis offers plenty of resources if a student needs help in a certain course. I would say that because Regis is a private university, the classes they offer are slightly harder than most, but nothing anyone can't handle.

    Tips for prospective students

Keep a positive and open mindset when it comes to deciding where you want to go to school. Make sure you weigh all of your options before jumping into this decision. If Regis is where you're looking at, be sure to get all of the information and even take a tour, if possible, before making your final decision.

    In three sentences

Regis is a small, liberal arts college in the heart of Denver. The Regis experience includes a beautiful campus, small class sizes, one-on-one interaction with your professors and advisors, a good variety of classes and plenty of opportunities to explore and enjoy the city of Denver and the activities the mountains offer. Regis's main flaw is its lack of diversity.

The Office of Student Life does a grand job organizing clubs and events. There are many events every night at Regis (such as food contests, movie nights, etc.). Regis intends for the college experience to be rewarding by promoting different events where students can collaborate and fraternize.

Great for these types of students

Regis is great for any type of student: Introverted, extroverted, short, thin, tall... Regis accepts all.

    Bang for the buck

Tuition is high but there are many resources that Regis offers such as the Writing Center, the Fitness Center, Personal Growth Center, and much more to help students become successful intellectually, mentally, spiritually, and physiologically.

    What to do for fun

Colorado is packed with exciting things to do for fun. Mountain biking, shopping, skiing... These are only few of the things Colorado has to offer. It is recommended to visit Colorado's natural parks such as Garden of the Gods, or even visit the Denver Zoo!

    Food and Dining

Amazing food, but slightly pricey. Regis obtains small cafes catered by Bon Appetit as well, and the food is gourmet, yet again, pricey.

    Dorm Life

Dorm life is not as glamorous as expected. Cleanliness is a plus, yet it is easy to get distracted in the dorms as many others also inhabit them. If possible, choose your roommate!

    Academic Rigor

Class sizes are small, yet the content is definitely challenging. Professors are always available for outside help.

    Tips for prospective students

Visit the campus early! Located in Denver, Colorado, Regis University is surrounded by majestic mountains, as the proximal suburban city life is still very quiet. Colorado is truly a beautiful place. Regis University is also a private school, so it is recommended that the search for scholarships is rigorous! Students do receive a good amount of scholarships and grants from Regis, but the extra scholarships do make a difference! If you are looking for a small, Jesuit liberal arts school that fosters the Jesuit belief Cura Personalis (care for the whole person), Regis is perfect for you.

    In three sentences

Regis University is a wonderful school that promotes spiritual growth, academic enlightenment, and involvement in the community. Academics are rigorous, yet are very much beneficial since class sizes hardly exceed thirty students. This small liberal arts school is momentous for it promotes individual growth, and it helps students emerge as knowledgeable and prepared young adults.

    What to do for fun

Regis sends out an email each week and they have TONS of activities during the week that help relax students such as comedy nights and fun games all over campus.

    Food and Dining

The food has recently changed to be a bit more healthier and it is very very very good. I don't eat there often because it is a bit expensive eating there everyday but it is tasty.

    Dorm Life

I am not living at the dorms because it is quite expensive going to this school in general. But there is a lot of convenience that comes from living at the dorms because you get to know much more people and you don't have to stress about finding parking in the mornings!

    Academic Rigor

This school is very strict academically, some classes may be easy but you have to mostly work hard for all classes. Do not underestimate any teachers or classes that may seem easy.

    Tips for prospective students

A recommendation I would make would be to shadow a current student at this school before attending to see if it is the best fit for you.

    In three sentences

Regis University is a great school if what you are going to college for is mostly just education. The classes are small so communication with the teacher is really valued and helpful compared to large classroom settings. Greek Life

    Non-existent ...

    Clubs and Activities

The array of clubs offered at Regis is not extremely large given the size of the school. The clubs that are offered, however, are extremely unique (Swing Dance Club!) and very involved!

Great for these types of students

Regis is great for anyone who came from a smaller high school and wants to make the adjustment easier. Students dedicated to getting good grades and communicating with other students and professors will fit right in here! It's a perfect location for commuter students, as well.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Need I say more than Harry Potter Dueling Event on the quad?!?

    Bang for the buck

Regis offers a great amount of scholarship money to any student needing/deserving it. The Financial Aid Office located in Main Hall is more than willing to assist you if needed.

    What to do for fun

It's Denver!!! Just a few ideas are the movies at the nearby theatre, the Denver Center for Performing Arts downtown, shopping on 16th Street Mall, grabbing something cold at the Little Man Ice Cream Shop, or biking to Elitch Gardens. The options are infinite!

    Food and Dining

Between the Main Cafe in the Student Center, Claver Cafe on the north end of campus, and Clarke Cafe on the south end, there is no reason you can't get ahold of food whenever you want to. Except ... the hours. The hours at Regis are not very flexible so you have to make sure to get food during the designated times or have something ready in your dorm for you.

    Dorm Life

I struggled staying in the dorms my first semester - what I realized, though, was that I wasn't doing the things that would make it possible to make friends in the dorms. Movie nights, spa nights, Harry Potter dueling ... the list goes on and on!!

    Academic Rigor

I'm not going to lie, the material covered in many classes is rigorous. The upside, though, is that Regis is small enough there is no reason to not succeed despite that. The Tutoring Center is amazing, almost all the professors are willing to meet with you, and all your classmates are amazing for the most part!

    Tips for prospective students

They will give you plenty opportunities to meet people before you even come for orientation - take advantage of it! Join the Facebook page and get to know some people - it will make your first day a lot easier!

    In three sentences

If you are willing to put in the effort to make friends, get involved on campus, and talk to your professors, this school is a great fit for you! Small enough to know a lot of people well, but not too small you have to see people you don't like! Just perfect for anyone wanting a university between the categories of small- and medium-sized.

    What to do for fun

Regis is 10 minutes away from downtown Denver which has something for everyone, we are also in an evolving location and the Highlands are venturing our way, bringing cooler scenes, yummy food and great shops. Regis offers discounted bus passes for students as well as the ability to rent bikes whenever you need to, this allows students without transportation to still venture out and take on the city as they please.

    Food and Dining

The meal plans at Regis are expensive, but you get what you pay for, all of our food is locally grown and house made. There are not chicken nuggets and frozen burgers on the menu, but rather seared duck legs and taco bars. There are also gluten free and vegetarian options to go along with every meal, there is something to feed everyone.

    Dorm Life

The dorms are not big my any means, but they are big enough for me and all of my things, I think I brought everything but the kitchen sink to my dorm room. There is a great sense of security in the dorms and I feel very safe here, my RA's are great and I truly have no complaints.

    Academic Rigor

Because of the small school environment you have a relationship with all of your professors, which in my experience has lead to a personal exception of each individual student. Although Regis is challenging it pushes you to new capabilities and allows you to reach goals you would not have thought to be possible.

    Tips for prospective students

Make sure that you are comfortable with a small campus lifestyle because it is definitely not for everyone. Apply for scholarships and grants because Regis is expensive, but the education is worth every penny.
