Most professors teach well, and expect students to attend lectures and read the assigned material, which leads to good retention of information. Unfortunately, the workload can be somewhat heavy at times, depending on classes taken.

I loved my visit to Rice! The staff and students were all welcoming and helpful, the class I sat in on was GREAT and the university had that feel of it's own community within Houston. Also, Rice is in the middle of everything in Houston, surrounded by world-class businesses and corporations, and as an added bonus students at Rice get free metro access (bus and train).
