The college provides a lot of activities throughout the year (usually free). The beach is also really close. There are always a lot of festivals going on in the area (art/music festivals). There are plenty of museums nearby, too.

Theres not much that goes on around campus except activities that friends and groups organize. There are beaches close by and museums and gallerys if you are in to that stuff.

Ringling doesn't have much ready made social life. If you want to party, it's going to be spontaneous and low key. People are too busy to make partying a big part of their life. You'll have a day or so on the weekends to get out and explore Sarasota or Tampa. Make it count.

The team at student life is literally amazing! Every weekend they plan an event that is free to all students. From open mic coffee houses to parties to discounted trips to the nearby theme parks(Disney, Universal, Busch Gardens) there is always something to do. If you want to get off campus, the Ringling Art Museum is right up the street from the school and free admission to all Ringling students. Ringling is also car ride away from some on the nicest beaches in the USA.
