Live on campus if you can. It is the best way to dive into the college experience and really get into the feel of being on your own and living like an adult. The friends and connections you will make during your college experience are the ones that will follow you for the rest of your life so get involved in everything you can. Being apart of a campus is going to sports games or planned activities and trips. If you look for these opportunities, you will never have a dull moment. Also if you are looking for a work study job, work in athletics! It is the best deal around if you love sports.
