Around Town

RIT is known for hosting many fun and educational events, festivals, and talks for students and the public. Imagine RIT is a festival that just passed which provides the public and students the chance to see all of the great creativity and innovation happening at the university. RIT is also known for strong team and school spirit when supporting our hockey team, and hosts great concerts on campus.

There is a new event every week. Human vs Zombies, Dances, color run, 5ks, Dog walk, Clubs, Movie nights, Concerts and tons of free BBQs

There are too many activities on campus for someone to get bored. We have movie nights, game nights, sporting events and other activities everyday.

Rochester is a dead city, I'd suggest you to stick on campus for the fun stuff. Joining clubs, going to events hosted by RIT, and participating in Student Government activities are what I consider fun.

I always have something to do during the weekend. Clubs, friends, events are some examples of things to do. There is a club for almost everything. If you ever get really, really bored, you can always go to the mall, which isn't that far.

There is always some sort of event going on here. We have a pretty large sports department and there are over 200 clubs so there is always something to do. There is also a mall a couple of minutes away from the school.

Around campus there is a rock climbing barn, which was just renovated! Also biking on the paths, there are lots of well known upper classmen students who love to DJ music! On campus Parties are pretty decent, they also have all around campus dance parties which sometimes can be themed, that the Frat's throw to get to know the student body a little more by just having fun! Off campus parties are always a hit! Good music and a lot of dancing and crazy fun! If your into Long Boarding, this is the school to do that at! Its very popular here!

There are clubs and activities for every type of person, so try a few. Also the campus is close to downtown Rochester, and RIT provides a bus there on Saturdays, so explore. Just don't sit in you're room all the time.
