Categories Comments Campus Safety We have security constantly driving around and patrolling the campus. If you have to be on campus after dark and are uncomfortable with that, you can even call them from any phone on campus and they'll come escort you.
Greek Life We don't have any sororities or fraternities...but usually the type of kids who choose to go to art school care little for these things anyway. :)
Clubs and Activities The student ambassadors are constantly coming up with events to take students on that allow them to explore Colorado, Denver and other students. They have events that range from hiking, to movie nights. There's tons of fun stuff to do.
Great for these types of students RMCAD is great for students who are wonderfully creative, want to take their art seriously and crave an environment where their creativity can flourish and thrive!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The school itself used to be an old Tuberculosis hospital, so all the buildings have a little history of their own. Of course, there are also rumors that the campus is haunted, which makes for some fun halloween events!
Bang for the buck RMCAD is no doubt expensive because it is a private school, but if you buckle down and take your classes seriously you will learn TONS. All the teachers work in the field, so the knowledge and advice you can receive is limitless.
What to do for fun Being just 10-15 minutes from downtown Denver means there are lots of opportunities to catch local concerts, hit up the shopping scene, and interact and network with tons of local artists.
Food and Dining There's an awesome cafe in the basement of the main building that serves everything from coffee to sandwiches. Also, being so close to downtown Denver there are plenty of delicious restaurants to choose from.
Dorm Life RMCAD doesn't actually have it's own dorms yet, but they're working on it! There are at least quite a few apartment options just minutes from the school.
Academic Rigor The first semesters start out pretty light, but as you progress in your program the work load and expectations certainly grow.
Tips for prospective students Be prepared to give 110%. Make sure you really love creating and be ready to take your art from a recreational level to a professional, working level.
In three sentences RMCAD is a positive, supportive and friendly environment for creative-types. It is a safe and healthy place to do some vital networking and get constructive criticism. This school is a great step towards a professional career in art.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus is very safe. The campus and parking lot is patrolled and I have never had an issue.
Great for these types of students This campus environment is great for those students who like a more intimate style of teaching and who would get lost in a larger campus setting. RMCAD has a great choice of programs for students interested in all fields of art and design. The historic buildings add to the colleges appeal.
Bang for the buck They offer degree programs for every form of art. I am already employed in my field part-time and everyone I work with in the Design Department went to the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. They also offer career coaching free of charge and on-line classes for flexibility for those with work schedules or who like to study on their own time.
Food and Dining There is the Underground Cafe right on campus which is a great place to get a bit to eat, as well as lots of fast food places around the campus. In the summer time the court yard has perfectly manicured grass and makes for great place to eat and relax.
Academic Rigor RMCAD's learning environment promotes an in-depth learning process where students are actively involved. Smaller class sizes add to this experience. They offer year round classes where it is possible to complete your BFA in 3 years.
Tips for prospective students When looking for a college don't discount the highly accredited art schools like RMCAD there are plenty of financial options out there to make going to school here doable. RMCAD offers a hybrid program which allows you to take some of your classes on-line and lowers tuition. This college has been around for a long time and is highly recognized by people in the industry, which is an important factor after you graduate.
In three sentences It is a smaller college with lots of one on one teaching. They have dedicated teachers who are working artists and designers. The curriculum is up to date with today's technology and industries.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students I think this is a great school for those who are dedicated to their art and are very hard working. It also provides support and alternate options so that those who really want to go to RMCAD are able to.
Tips for prospective students Always look at other pricing for equipment before you agree to buy through the school. Also start developing your portfolio ASAP. Get a lot of variety and try to apply skills you already have to your art.
Bang for the buck What's really nice about this is that once you apply tuition is locked in for the rest of your time there. Also they offer you equipment and software for a lower price most of the time. For the laptops, you get a 4year warranty going through the school; if you went though the company that makes the computers you would only get a three year warranty. With software, you get the original software and then you get the upgrades for the price of the software.
Will enjoy being here The campus is AWESOME and everyone at the events I've gone to have been really nice and welcoming. There is a lot of history to be had at the campus and it is still expanding. The location I think is convenient for bus routes and if mom wants to take me to school on her way to work. It is near my home and allows me a bit of freedom.
Will learn a lot I think that their programs are well rounded and have enough flexibility for me to learn well and enjoy it too!

Categories Comments Bang for the buck So far in a family of three college kids, I am usually the only one can sit down and say I learned something today.
Academic Rigor Work load depends on your time allotment and the class itself. Some classes are harder than others and require more time.
Tips for prospective students Enrolled in the online section. Small classes, great teachers. Teachers always seem willing to help; phone, email or even online chats.
In three sentences Online program is great, fast, but great. Most instructors will take time out to help and make sure you understand things.

Food and Dining The underground cafe at the school it self is awesome they have great food and great service.
Dorm Life I live at the Regency student housing off campus. The school it self does not offer its own forming but from talk around campus they are putting that as one of its next big moves for the school.
Academic Rigor Its awesome no other comments then that.
Tips for prospective students Stay focused and engage as much as you can in the school don't allow your self to not take advantage of everything that this college offers to all of its students. Allow yourself to blossom for say in what you want to do and build your skills and thoughts.
In three sentences It is a great place that has allowed me to pin point what i want to do and allowed me to progress in that field.I feel comfortable here and have no thoughts of switching colleges anytime soon i plan to finish my degree here.I enjoy it a lot and would recommend it to anyone.
