Around Town

Even though it is a technical school, there is always something going on at Rose-Hulman. Countless charity events are held on campus in order to better the surrounding area. Also, sports events are a very hot commodity when deciding what to do on the weekends (if we are not stuck doing homework). No matter what it is you like to do, there is something for you that is offered at Rose-Hulman.

Meet new people or go down the street to the next school. It is a good college town and pleases the all kinds of college students.

I don't know why people care about this. If you want to be an engineering student, you should willing to be able to give up fun for extended periods of time. And I mean, our campus has the SRC and you can play racketball and stuff. But if you're asking about Terre Haute, what is there to do anywhere? I don't like this question...

Swimming and rope swinging at speed lake. State of the art athletic facilities for sports. Campus wide game of human vs. zombies, and over 90 student clubs and organizations!

Join a fraternity.

Intramural sports! And visiting the labs for fun.

Terre Haute is certainly no New York or San Francisco, but it's go great food and some nice little areas. A motto I've adopted for myself that's served me well is: It's not about where you are, but who you're with. So - go out, make friends, make good (and the occasional bad) choices, and always remember to monitor your facebook account.

There is a movie theater and a mall in town, along with a children's museum, an art museum, and many other fun things to do. It seems small, but you can always find things to do. There is also almost always something fun going on around campus, and Indianapolis and Bloomington are just about an hour away for day trips.

Hang out with friends from the dorm or other dorms you will become like family. There are also a couple good places to go in town.

While there is not much to do in the town itself, students are never bored. There is always some production being held at the school. The wonderful, fun-filled city of Indianapolis is on 45 mins away.
