    Be prepared to walk! No freshman car permission, so be prepared to travel by foot (or shuttle) to and from class. No problem, though; campus is relatively small and accessible. Be aware of your surroundings to be safe, but campus is very safe and patrolled regularly.

    I would recommend getting to know your roommate as soon as you are assigned one by reaching out to them on Facebook or any other social networking sites. Pick either four or five simple general education classes for your first semester, so you can adjust to college life. Also, I would pack light, as your living space will not be huge.

    Rowan is mostly filled with state students. It is often referred to as the perfect size and the perfect distance away from home. It is easy to meet friends as a freshman and there are a plethora of opportunities. Find out what you like to do and commit. Things will fall in to place as you follow your heart.
