It's a research school, so be prepared for a lot of outside work as well as classroom work.

Rutgers-Newark is a campus that is greatly understated. Its location seems to hurt its reputation, but as a current student I can attest to always feeling safe on campus and gaining the most from their facilities. Rutgers-Newark is a school that deserves more recognition for its outstanding academic regimen and diverse teacher and student population.

I had had a great experience transitioning from a Community College into Rutgers University. The counselors are always available to answer any questions, or concerns you might have. Most importantly it's a great school at a reasonable cost!

Its not that bad, however in every class you have to rely on your own ability to learn things. The library is great many books and computers. Also another good thing is the tutors how ever its hard to make an appointment with all the other kids trying to do the same thing.

It's a very diverse community where you can feel at home anywhere as long as you plug yourself in the community. Being a commuter school, not many students stay on campus unless they are involved in campus activities and clubs. Academic difficulty depends on the majors you take but as long as you apply yourself, you won't have a hard time.

Rutgers Newark is a fun school to attent. The campus size and class sizes are just right, the class are not to small like in Rutgers Camden and not to big like in Rutgers New Brunswick.

Rutgers Newark is so small I love it! It's small enough that I manage to remember everyone I meet and it's close to home.

This is a great school for those who like a cozy small campus near a major city as New York is just a short train ride away. It's a very diverse campus that offers a little bit of everything and everyone seems to know each other. There's always something fun going on here.

Although it's a pretty tiny school, it's great. The classes are engaging, and given the small setting, it's easy to make friends. Great school for nursing and business majors.
