Join clubs and make friends with people from your hall and classes. You may not think you would every be friends with a certain type of person, but realize that this person may become one of your closest friends. Since the weather is always changing, make sure you leave with a jacket, but be prepared to make it off when you are in a hot classroom. Also, you shoes will get ruined by the salt, so don't stay too attached, or just leave your favorite shoes at home. Eat off campus occasionally, it will be nice to eat something other that Chinese food, pizza, or a wrap.

Oneonta is a very interesting town! There's almost every type of restaurant downtown, ranging from Chinese food to Greek to Italian! The Campus community is amazing and there is even a starbucks on campus! It's a wonderful school and I would definitely recommend SUNY Oneonta.

Make sure you keep on top of your grades--while you may not need a perfect SAT score to get into this school, the higher your GPA and SAT scores, the greater chance you will have of receiving a scholarship from Oneonta.

For one, be an individual ; It's way better than joining the crowd!!!!! Don't surround yourself with people who don't complement you and by saying that I mean hang around people who are similar to you(not meaning race, but intellect). Read your syllabus and be on top of your work!!! Welcome to College!

Dress warm because it gets cold up here. Purchase rain boots and/or snow boots beforehand!
