Get involved! There is no better way to enjoy college than to get involved. Join the clubs that interest you, take classes outside of your major, and explore all you can. Every single group on campus, be it a sorority or a capela group, is like one giant family. With the help of the incredibly friendly and welcoming students and staff, you can get through this!

If you're considering SUNY Fredonia already, then do it. Come here. Be sure to go out and make friends as soon as you get here. Learn time management early on. Talk with someone to get you on the right track as soon as possible. Don't always trust your adviser's math skills- always double check! Be active and get involved on campus! There's always something for you to do. And community service and campus involvement looks really good on your resume!

talk to current students in the department you are looking to go into before going into the school. The tours the school offers may lie to make it seem like a great place but, I was extremely disappointed when I finally got into my department. It is a very small town with nothing to do but party, not a lot of on campus events to look forward to and not very welcoming.

Don't be afraid to ask teachers for help, they are always willing to give assistance. Buy a big jacket before you come here, because there is snow, in October. Yeah.
