Categories Comments Great for these types of students If you still want to play sports in college then this college is perfect for you. The college really strives to excel in sports and with the teachers knowing who you are and where you are going to be they are lenient on assignments. Also if you are planning to major in education or nursing. St. Catharine's has wonderful professors in these fields and they have the latest equiptment and materials. If you like to be in clubs without restriction on club memberships, prefer calm learning environments, want to major in education or nursing, want to continue playing sports, and like to know everyone around you, then this is the right college for you!
Tips for prospective students St. Catharine's College is true to it's slogan It not just college its home mainly because your classes are small and you get to know your teachers and fellow classmates. The college is pretty easy going, calm, and is very close knit. The teachers are really helpful with assignments and are willing to help. The campus is just now starting to blossom into a college worth going to. The college's main programs are education and nursing and that is where the college focuses all of its energy. If you are looking for a school that is active and busy with a lot of people, then this is not the college for you. If you want to play sports, major in education or nursing, and like a calm atmosphere then this is the college for you.

In three sentences St. Catharine College is a very quaint little school. I love the atmosphere and the environment. It allows for a homey feel.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There are multiple security cameras on every dorm floor and other areas around the school. There is also security officers that are around 24/7 to make sure our stay here is safe. The officers offer an escort on campus during the night if you are feeling a bit nervous about going to another building or just making that trip to your car and back. The officers seem friendly and are more than happy to ease our worries about safetly.
Food and Dining The dining center is designed for a small college which is perfect. The dining is set as a buffet and all you can eat. However, there is a limited variety of food at each dining time (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and on weekends brunch). My thoughts on how the dining center can be improved is to get more variety of food.
Dorm Life The students here prefer to call it residence halls because it makes them feel more at home. The college tries to pair us up with others that compliment the lifestyle that we have and they did it quite well. The dorms are two person in one room and share a bathroom with one neighboring room. There are room that can have three people to it but you will have to either be an upperclassman or make arrangements. Overall, I would say the dorms are very spacious ( depending on how you arrange the furniture) and cozy although the thermostat is having some issues.
Academic Rigor I went through orientation and my expectations about the academics of St. Catharine College were set pretty high and was met. Studying, time management, and the level of education here are highly stressed and what is to be expected.
Tips for prospective students Many of the students here are very social, especially if you have common interests. Even if you don't have anything in common, they will make you feel welcome and you will feel less nervous about coming here. It's true what many of the former students and current students say, that you will have at least one friend on your first day.
In three sentences St. Catharine College is a small, traditional school. The staff and faculty and many of the students here made me feel very welcome. I am very anxious to start this semester and cannot wait to see what St. Catharine College has to offer me.
