“I wish that I could be apart of the dorm life, but I am a commuter.…”
“If you like to be quiet, you should apply for an apartment dorm here. If you like to share something, you may consider Griesedieck hall. I prefer apartment cause the…”
“i can't say much for dorm life, i live off campus and commute, but from what i hear and have seen the dorms are nice and safe.…”
“i am really happy i chose reinert to be my dorm for this year, i really like the environment of the space, and my roommates are awesome. depending on which…”
“dorm life is very fun here! i lived in a learning community my first year at slu, and that was a great experience. i was able to meet other students…”
The food is great with wide selection.
» Read MorePlenty of places to eat.
» Read MoreIt is cafeteria food, but an excellent staff.
» Read MoreThere are a variety of dining options and food available at SLU, which makes eating an enjoyable experience. I was very content with the food my freshman year, and always had some extra snacks in my room to enjoy. You won't go hungry here!
» Read MoreThere is a wide variety of options around campus. Terra Ve (vegetarian) is a popular option for many, but there is also Chick-Fil-A, Subway, Fusz (hamburgers, fries, etc.), Salsaritas (Mexican). The cafeterias in the residence halls aren't that great, but there are so many other options it's hardly noticeable.
» Read MoreI do not stay on campus so I do not know.
» Read MoreThere are good food selections, but the hours of the dining halls are inconvinient, especially over breaks.
» Read MoreThere are several options of food and dining on campus. However, the quality in the food does not match the price of the food on campus. Cooking in your dorm or apartment is the best way to go.
» Read MoreThe dorm food really isn't that good, but the other options on campus are. Meal-Swipe nights at different dining locations offer dorm students the option to get different types of food during the week which is super nice.
» Read MoreSLU unfortunately saves food from the day before sometimes (in dorm cafeterias), therefore many people are subject to spend hours on end on the porcelain god. The food that is in Grand tastes good, but with the limited selection/variety, it gets old the more times you go.
» Read MoreToo much. I hate drinking, and it's too prominant.
» Read MoreNot involved in Greek life, but do not feel that I am missing out on anything.
» Read MoreGreek Life does have presence on campus, but not as big as you would find at bigger schools. The sororities are very large compared to bigger schools, with about 200 members in each.
» Read MoreGreek life is really great here. It definitely seems to be more about the philanthrophy (there aren't houses here) because people really join greek life to make friends and just have another activity to do.
» Read MoreNot a member...yet.
» Read MoreAbout 20% of campus is Greek, so the presence isn't overwhelming but is certainly prominent (in a good way). You won't be ostracized for not being Greek, but you won't be living in a Greek-only world if you are. There are no houses, only a Greek-only dorm option for sophomores. Rush week is in the fall.
» Read MoreIs frowned upon by the university, but popular with the students. A huge amount of people rush, but they don't have their own houses or anything special.
» Read MoreThe buildings here look live some of those in ancient Greece.
» Read Moreif you don't get into Greek life it can be hard to make friends, so many of the students get into it and I know they really love it. The only issue is they don't have houses
» Read MoreThere is an ample amount of Greek life to be involved in.
