Get the carte-blanche (most expensive) meal plan, it's nice to not worry about going going to eat whenever you want and not worry about using a meal for the week, Particpiate in intramural/club sports if not playing on Varsity. Great way to meet people and stay active. If you have a car and are able to bring it to school, do it. Join Gael Force

If you can, take a tour of Saint Marys' campus. It is beautiful and will give you a sense of how the campus feels. Before accepting to enroll, know that you will be given core requirements that reach into all areas: science, math, English, social justice, common good, religion, and diversity. If you are looking for a large party school on the edge of the city, you might want to apply elsewhere. Saint Mary's, while only a forty minute BART ride away, is situated atop a hilltop overlooking a quaint town. This is a school for education and learning, not a place to party. Though we do through some killer dances and have great speakers/events planned year round. There is always something to do; you simply have to look for it.

Hit the ground running. There is so much available to students here but you have to get your name out there. Your first two weeks here are incredibly important for the rest of your semester. This is an amazing college for networking and getting to know people early on will open up so many doors for you.
