Great for these types of students

Great for a student who would enjoy a small school setting with a more one on one relationship with the teachers.

    Bang for the buck

STAC is listed in several magazines as the best bang for your buck in terms of colleges. STAC not only teaches you the skills that you will need to use throughout your professional life, but also the resources to help you get off the ground after graduating.

    Will enjoy being here

With several athletic teams, clubs, and other activities on campus, STAC has a very positive atmosphere that makes me feel like I am home whenever I am on campus.

    Will learn a lot

The classes at STAC are amazing, the teachers are very welcoming especially for a student who isn't even enrolled yet.

    Campus Safety

Very safe campus with constant security, especially late at night. Security friendly as well.

    Clubs and Activities

Many different clubs and organizations: Business Club, Gay-Straight Alliance, Italian Club, Psychology Club, The Thoma (newspaper), The Thomist (yearbook), Laetare Players, Art Therapy Club, and many more. Intermural and Team Sports as well.

Great for these types of students

Business and Education are the departments the school is known for, and you can pursue your master's degree in those fields at the college as well. Psychology department also has great classes and faculty.

    Bang for the buck

Expensive for the size of the school, but overall a safe small community environment. As long as you don't have to deal with administration much and do the right thing, you will not run into problems.

    What to do for fun

Palisades Mall is nearby, where you can get food, shop, see a movie, and run errands.

    Food and Dining

Good food at Romano, but food is not great in the Dining Hall.

    Dorm Life

Small dorms. Freshman year, you live in the Commons, right next to the dining hall, 3 or 4 to a room, but you have to park your car on the other side of the street. After that, you can choose to live in the Commons or the Village. Tend to make close friends and have fun nights when people are on campus.

    Academic Rigor

Depending on the department, some professors are easier to get along with, while others are difficult graders.

    Tips for prospective students

Rolling admission, but apply early if you want to get into the Honors Program. Seriously.

    In three sentences

Small liberal arts school where everyone knows one another.

    Campus Safety

It can be a little too safe. The head of security is a retired uptight police officer with a heightened eagerness to be liked

    Greek Life

Only two fraternities; one of them are a co-ed national service frat

    Clubs and Activities

There is always something to do, but it does not mean you necessarily will find it entertaining.

Great for these types of students

Students who come from small schools in rural areas. Those who consider themselves homebodies. People with positive attitude and a love for community service.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

There are none. It is a small campus. It is generally a commuter school.

    Bang for the buck

The school ask too much for the all around environment they provide.

    What to do for fun

The gymnasium is open to students for 10pm to 1pm every evening. The palisades mall is less than 10 minutes away. New York city is 45 minutes away.

    Tips for prospective students

The school is strict and small. If you are looking for a complete college experience this may not be the school for you. However, if you are looking for a close nit environment that is a solid base to start your career then it is a good place to start.

    In three sentences

It is a small school with intimate tides to it's students. Professors and students interact regularly. Housing is comfortable and close to main campus as well as the dinning facilities.

Great for these types of students

Students who are home-bodys, need extra attention, like to get involved.

    Bang for the buck

You get your money's worth. The staff knows and caters to your every need.

    What to do for fun

New York City is 20 minutes away, the Palisades mall is only 10 minutes away, and the campus is always hosting events!

    Dorm Life

Campus Safety is taken very seriously. Therefore, it is not a big party school.

    Tips for prospective students

If you want to get involved and have a close family type feel to a college, then STAC is for you.

    In three sentences

STAC is small, but gives many opportunities to succeed. Here, you are not just a social security number - the staff knows your needs and caters to them. I would suggest this college to anybody.

    Campus Safety

Campus safety is pretty on their game for the most part considering it is a small school and things rarely go wrong.

    What to do for fun

My friends and I get involved on daily trips and daily activities on campus. If there are limited activities, I find myself going to the mall on a daily basis, not just to shop but to eat or go to the movies.

    Food and Dining

Food and dining areas on campus are limited. The dining halls close fairly early and I find myself still a bit hungry after the halls close.

    Dorm Life

The dorm life at STAC sometimes can be a bit boring if you are not involved in what is going on on campus. Resident Assistants go around each night handing students flyers of what is going on on the campus which helps majorly in becoming involved on campus.

    Academic Rigor

Academics at STAC are highly rigorous. If a student does not obtain a high academic standing, the student may lose all academic scholarships or grants the school has offered them.

    In three sentences

Unlike large universities, at Saint Thomas Aquinas College you won't find yourself in lecture halls with hundreds of students. Instead you'll find yourself in small classes, some rarely more than 50 students per class. Classes are smaller than usual and easier for students to interact more.
