  • Dorm life is exceptional. The staff is amazing and makes you feel like you're right at home. If anything, more residents would be encouraged. Salem is a 70% commuter school,…

The newly renovated Salem Diner has some of the best foods that Salem State University could offer.

The food is about as good as at any university (a bit on the sucky side, mass produced, not very fresh or nutritious). The biggest issue with food is the timing of it. Most freshman live on North Campus, which doesn't offer any food Friday to Sunday night, so it's a bit of a hike to walk anywhere for food on the weekends. I would definitely recommend a microfridge and stalking up on nonperishable foods.

The food here is really good, th only problem is that it isn't very healthy. There's always fruit, salad, pasta, and the sandwhich bar but those are pretty much your only healthy options. Other than that its fries, onion rings, pizza etc

The dining hall has okay food, but upstairs they always have varying choices of Burger King, hot meals, and flatbread pizza and wraps. All around campus there are small food places to get chicken nuggets or a burger and fries and other things like sushi and smoothies. Dunkin' Donuts in Meier Hall! Off campus there are many places close by: Bagel World*** Salem Diner McDonalds Tavern In the Square

Chartwells is the company that serves the school and some like it and some don't. Personally I think it tolerable although it does get old by the time you're a junior or senior in college but they then the junior and senior housing have kitchen for you to prepare your own food.

There's one sorority and two fraternities, but they don't have separate housing. They're not a huge presence on campus, but the people who are a part of them love the experience, which is very close and intimate.

There is limited Greek life, but if you want to get involved in that at the beginning of the year they have club fairs and you can sign up to be a part of Greek life.

We do have Greek life but I am not a part of it so I don't know much about it. I do have a few friends that have joined and they seem to enjoy it though.

Greek Life just started up again at Salem. There's not much to say since there is only one sorority and fraternity. They don't have housing, so it's sort of like they're just another group or club.
