If you are starting out at a community college like I did for some of your prerequisites in order to cut back expenses as much as possible, then I would suggest keeping in contact with the counselors at Sam in your desired field rather than the counselors at the college you are attending first. The counselors at Sam are going to know what is best for you and be able to better prepare you for your major at the university. Also I would suggest taking the last semester of your prerequisites at Sam when applying for your major at the college, it will help you get to know the university better, the classes, and how things work, as well as make it easier to apply and get into your major.
