During the beginning of the academic year they have many activities, they usually do some type of fair. During the year they have intramural sports and clubs. We also have a bowling ally on campus which is really inexpensive for students, or even just a dollar if you have a gym membership. there is also a restaurant/bar for the 21+ students.

At State there is never a shortage of things to do. Between all the different recreational and academic clubs, the weekend night life on College Avenue, and the excitement of Aztec sports, there's a lot to choose from. Believe me, it's only boring when you can't choose what to do and end up staying in out of defeat.

Join clubs on campus or be involved in sports. It is so much fun and also looks great on a resume.

There are two gyms and a large field for anyone athletic. For the artistic, there are several art clubs, a band and orchestra, as well as a drama club that puts on several plays. Sorority and fraternity life are very present, and many people enjoy those organizations. There are plenty of clubs to choose from, and if you don't find one you can create one! There are so many options to choose from, it's really hard to be bored on campus. The basketball team is fantastic, so games are hosted at the stadium. Not only that, but tons of concerts are held at the Open Air Theater or Viejas arena, so you don't have to even leave the campus to enjoy great music!

Being in the center of San Diego County is pretty self-explanatory. Want to surf? Beach is 20 minutes west. Prefer the mountains? Spend an hour in the car and drive east. Prefer the downtown scene? Hop on the trolley for half an hour and check out the local scene. It's San Diego, for cryin' out loud.
