There is always something to do at Santa Clara University. During the day, there are always pick up games in multiple sports. Intramural is a big hit. Night life is great and social.

Santa Clara is situated in a great spot! An hour train ride from San Francisco, a 30 minute ride to Santa Cruz, and a quick bus ride to San Jose and Santana Row truly makes Santa Clara University a great location to have some fun. There are always opportunities to escape the campus on weekends and explore the surrounding areas.

We can rent a zipcar and drive 30 minutes to Santa Cruz and visit the Boardwalk. We could walk across the street and catch a bus to either Santana Row or Valley Fair mall. Also there many events put on by the university and are a ton of fun.

Take the train to San Francisco. Get involved in dorm life

The party scene at Santa Clara is good. Most nights there are parties off campus that are readily accessible from the dorms. However, there are other options if students are not interested in partying. The CalTrain station is right across the street from campus, which makes it easy to take day trips to Stanford or San Francisco.

For fun, go meet people and just hang out. Keep your door open in your dorm and people will just walk in and introduce themselves. Make new friends and you can do a variety of things; go to the mall and movie theater close by or just stay on campus and party.

The school books plenty of events on campus (Tyga and Blue Scholars did a concert here a couple of weeks into the quarter) plus Santa Cruz is no more than an hour away, maybe less. San Francisco is nearby also, Santana Row which is a great place to go shopping. The amusement park, Great America is less than 20 minutes away. SCU has Zipcars you can borrow for your trips and they also do cheap shuttles to local concerts because the Shoreline Amphitheatre is very close by as well.

So many extracurriculars! Dorm activities! Get involved! Each dorm has a social once a week to gather the community together!

There are tons of clubs to join, intramurals are very popular, the student section is big too. There really is no reason not to get involved.
