Develop a good relationship with your academic advisor. I have known my advisor since I started school, and she has always been very helpful with how I should proceed with schooling and with any problems that I have experienced.

Take the prerequisites for the majors you are considering in your first year so when you decide what you are planning to major in you'll already have them done so you aren't forced to take different classes if you switch your major last minute.

I also go to rate my professor site before enrolling for a class to see what other students said about the class/teacher. It is not to difficult to get into the classes that you need and the site is easy to use. Additionally i would wait on buying the text books listed for the classes I would try and see which ones are truly needed. Also the campus bookstore is most likely not the cheapest option although it may be the most convenient. There are more affordable options online and the teachers seem to be patient with students waiting for their books to come in.

If you're looking for a good degree for a fraction of the cost then this is the place to go. Most students here are trying to transfer to the University of Florida but getting an AA here guarantees admission to any state college.

Do not Withdraw from too many classes. The more classes you complete, the sooner you graduate. Its easier without withdrawing.
