    If attending Sauk, be prepared for a college experience. It's a higher level above high school, and the courses are college level. If they're hard, they're meant to be; the courses are literally designed to make students who are weaker quit. This is how college should be, and at Sauk it's nice because it's so affordable. Don't forget to use financial assistance to your advantage - Sauk has an easy program, and offers many opportunities for work study.

    If you are looking for diversity and a chance to make friends, Sauk is NOT the best option. Everyone has their groups, and it is comparable to a high school.

    Do not let fear of something new hold you back! Walking in to a college class for the first time as a high school student participating in dual enrollment was terrifying for me but well worth it! Also, always study and do homework assigned gen. ed. classes may seem easy but studying guarantees and easy A!

    Make sure you are taking the classes that are going to really count towards your major. Also, make sure the classes you are taking are going to count as transfer classes at the university you are planning on transferring to.
