    Make sure you go to orientation because you can meet potential friends, and also, walk around the campus before you start your first year because it'll help you navigate where certain buildings and classrooms are.

    Don't buy books until after classes have started. Most of the books listed in the curriculum are never used. Start registration early. It can take awhile to complete.

    Stay on top of your to do lists regarding admissions, cashier's office, and financial aid. These departments DO NOT communicate and I was once dropped from a class because the cashier's office did not tell admissions that I had paid for my classes, and I lost the opportunity to take the class.
