GO EXPLORE. Living in the middle of downtown Seattle is awesome because you have a plethora of areas to go explore that are chuck full of amazing parks, look outs, hikes, restaurants, hip coffee shops, and more. Seattle is a constantly moving city. Immersing ourselves in the Seattle culture is one of the best parts about living here.

The campus is in between Downtown Seattle and the Fremont district, two excellent places for social live, restaurants, shopping, site seeing, and coffee shops. Taking the bus and exploring here is also very easy. There is also an on-campus data base that regularly updates students on up coming events to make sure they can get involved.

Besides the dining experience, there's lot's to do in Seattle! Lots of parks nearby (including Gasworks, Kerry Park, and Discovery Park!) lots of safe places to walk, beautiful views (especially off Kerry Park), there's the eclectic atmosphere of Fremont with an indie vibe and the Fremont Troll, The Ave in the U-District has TONS of food options, lots of local shopping and of course there's the Space Needle. Seattle is very health-conscious and environmental and there is lots to do out of doors. It is also has amazing coffee, being Seattle.

There are about 50 clubs to join. Choose one that best fits you! There so many activities going on the campus that are fun and where you could meet new friends.

There is an unbelievable amount of things to do for fun around campus and Seattle. SPU is within walking distance of Fremont, and nice area to visit and hang out at the various dessert shops. Also you should try bubble tea! It definitely isn't for everyone, but nonetheless you should expose yourself to new things. You can see the sand troll under the bridge in upper Fremont, you can go to Gas Works at night or during the day to see a gorgeous view of downtown Seattle, or you an see the many landmarks like the Center of the Universe and plants shaped like dinosaurs, just to name a few.

Just walk up a couple blocks and you're at Queen Anne! With froyo, shopping, and food it's kind of hard to get bored here unless you sit in your dorm all day long.

SPU has multiple bus stops right on campus or close to campus so it is always fun to check out bus passes and discover all the places to go and things to do around the city. There are so many plays, concerts, other shows happening all the time to see, as well as museums and parks to go to, shops to shop, restaurants to dine, and many tourist places to experience.

It's Seattle! The school is basically in the center. Just a short bus ride to any place in seattle you want to visit. Or hang out with friends on campus.

If you're not hanging out and joining the countless activities around campus, there's always the beautiful city of Seattle to explore. If the city is crowding you in, take a short drive out to the surrounding mountains where there are a ton of hiking trails, kyak spots, rock climbing walls, and biking areas. Even skiing and snowboarding in the winter!
