The dorms are fun because you'll meet tons of people you'll like, but there's always the people you're going to hate, namely the ones who like to party and trash the place. That, however, is to be expected everywhere, so don't worry about it too much. The freshman dorms aren't great since they don't have any AC, but you'll get over that really quickly.
