Skyline College

San Bruno, CA, USA

Skyline College is a 2-year community college that groups a number of related fields of study into four concentrations called Meta Majors—the equivalent of academic departments. Skyline employs counselors specializing in each Meta Major and several of those counselors are versed in multiple fields of expertise. Each counselor works one-on-one with students to develop a step-by-step Student Educational Plan mapping out their academic careers. Skyline also offers preset groups of classes called Learning Communities to enable students who share the same interests to become familiar with one another through multiple courses together.
