» Read MoreBecause it's a small town, there isn't very much to do here. There are several restaurants and small shops on Main Street right next to the campus which are fun to look around, and there's a bowling alley about a mile from the school, but that's all you'll find within walking distance. Try going to Butler (10 minute drive) or even Pittsburgh (1 hour drive) if you're looking for something to do.

The Student Center also offers free movie screenings nearly every weekend. There are also plenty of people playing pick-up games in the Rec center.

» Read MoreSlippery Rock is a place that sometimes you have to make your own fun. A lot of time everyone just hangs out together. Sporting events are always fun to go to. It's fun to go to Grove City Outlets with your friends too.
» Read MoreIf you are 21 or older there is a bar right on main street. Going to the football and rugby games are always fun on a Saturday afternoon. The frats, and apartments always have good parties and there is also a hookah bar on main street.
» Read MoreThis is where Slippery Rock lacks for people who cannot entertain themselves. I personally love that it is in the middle of nowhere because I can find things to do. The school tries to have different activities on campus too.
