Tuition, Cost & Aid

Affordability and Cost

Average Net Price Average net price for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates paying the in-state or in-district tuition rate who were awarded grant or scholarship aid from federal, state or local governments, or the institution. Other sources of grant aid are excluded. Aid awarded anytime during the full aid year is included.

Average net price is generated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state or local government, or institutional grant and scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance. Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees (lower of in-district or in-state), books and supplies and the weighted average room and board and other expenses.

What Students Are Saying

The school's tuition, though it has increased since I first started attending, is still pretty low compared to the universities. The low tuition costs helps students establish an academic foundation before transferring to the more expensive four-year schools.

Given that Solano is a community college, Solano is much cheaper than a 4 year institution. Solano is very affordable.
Solano Student
It's a community college. It costs less than car insurance.
Sage from Vallejo, CA
While attending Solano I also was nominated as Valedictorian for my graduating class. Although, I did not win, the experience of getting in front of a panel of 12 staff members to choose my fate was one one the best and fun times of my life.
Virginia from Vallejo, CA
I believe that every penny that I've spent here has been worth it. The college is pretty and the teachers are so nice and understanding.
Tasha from Vallejo, CA
If you qualify for financial aid there is a good chance you won't have to worry about tuition or books...without financial aid, I couldn't afford college so I am SO glad that I qualify.
