The learning environment at South Carolina State is very relaxed. Teachers are easily accessable and willing to help students understand course material.

    Diversity Friendly students. Big on Community Service if your are looking for hours. Problems with financial aid, but you have to be patient.

    SCSU is a great HBCU for anybody who desires to work hard. It is also diverse in many ways and here everybody is family. SCSU has many awards and accomplishments in both academic and sports competitions.

    this school is good for certain majors and it is all what you make it. If you do not want to make your own fun then it will not be fun. It is a great school for music majors.

    SCSU is an interesting campus. Has a lot of interesting artifacts and a long history. The James Brown Memorial Building is awesome.

    South Carolina State University is a really great school to meet new people. The school is set in a really nice location and everyone is friendly here. There is a lot of people you can meet who is just like you.

    This school is a historically black university which I like because it gives people from varying backgrounds a chance at a good education. You do need to proactive in getting your paperwork in, keeping a copy, and knowing what you need to stay on track for graduation. I found it to be more conducive to people who live in the area.
