Around Town

Shows, concerts, dances, sporting events and the neat rock climbing wall at the wellness center.

There is a lot to do for fun both on campus and around the town. There are tons of things that students get in for free on campus and off campus there is dinning, ice skating, movies, bowling, etc.

There are always tons of activities going on around campus: Intramurals, Greek Life and events that the University puts on themselves such as Dances. There is always something going on all you have to do is look for signs and posters.

SDSU is the largest school in the state, so there is much opportunity to meet many different kinds of people. The Wellness Center offers rec teams, and there are hundreds of organizations and clubs on campus. Greek life also plays a role in the college, and there are sororities and fraternities one can join.

Brookings is a smaller town but the people here are very energetic! Since this small town has a college with over twelve thousand college students, it is a college-run town. They bring people every weekend with new things to experience. I like going to buffalo wild wings to watch the games. Mostly, I like hanging out with my new good friends I have made while attending South Dakota State University! Go Jackrabbits!

Since the weather can be pretty bad, my friends and I get together and watch movies at least once a week. We also go for walks into town and check out all the little stores there. The college puts on some fun things like grocery bingo, where you can win food (always helpful!). For the most part, you need to make your own fun. But if you have the right friends, that is not hard, at all. Become involved with clubs, church, and friends, and you will never be bored.

There is an ice skating rink, Bowling alley, many lakes for fishing, and many on campus activities as well.

SDSU offers activities for many students. There are a variety of clubs and organizations along with other activities that are offered.

SDSU offers a wide variety of groups and organizations on campus. Getting involved with former classmates is a great thing to do for fun!
