    Campus Safety

There is always 1 or 2 security officers on campus. They are constantly roaming the campus or watching the many many cameras that overlook the campus.

    Greek Life

Currently, I'm in Omega Delta. We are a community service based fraternity that also dwells in the social activities. We love to take care of our own.

    Clubs and Activities

There are about 20 clubs on campus ranging from Spanish club, Private Practice club, Honors clubs to even Spouse clubs (for students who are married.) You have many options open!

Great for these types of students

Well rounded students. If you love to memorize, draw diagrams, and apply that knowledge to real patients in clinic, you are going to do well here. Your hard work will pay off. Slackers have a hard time here.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Vikram Girn created Purple Thursdays...so everyone wears purple shirts on Thursdays. haha.

    Bang for the buck

School is expensive. Expect to be in debt around $200,000 by the time you graduate. But it is worth it? It's going to depend on what you want to do with your career. The possibilities are endless.

    What to do for fun

Personally, I love to go cycling with the local teams. Others may choose to go to Downtown Fullerton to get some food and drinks and dance the night away.

    Food and Dining

Fullerton has all the kinds of food you need. From fast food to sit down, you have everything at your fingertips. Mexican, American, Mediterranean, Japanese, and so much more. Don't forget that LA is only about 30-40 minutes away!

    Dorm Life

Most of the students have their own housing in Fullerton, CA. There are no dorms.

    Academic Rigor

This is an intensive place to study. There are one or two exams every week, even if you have clinical hours to fulfill. Stay on top of your material, and you will do fine.

    Tips for prospective students

Check out SCCOs videos on their website and on youtube. It will tell you a lot about the faculty and the campus here. If you can get in contact with current SCCO students, they will help you go to know the school a little better.

    In three sentences

SCCO is known to be one of the best schools for Optometry. It develops well rounded students who are knowledgeable in class and clinic, and students who have good chair side manner in the exam room.
