Categories Comments Great for these types of students The hard-working, dedicated, reliable, creative, rebellious, optimistic and endearing. More than anything, it comes down to those who have the strong will to follow through.
Tips for prospective students Get your personal life in order and if there's anything you absolutely must do while the opportunity lasts, do it. Once school starts, the outside world ceases to exist. You will see it again, but by then you'll find that life moves on without you.
Bang for the buck Yes, it's an expensive school, but I am yet to come across another learning environment as intense, social and downright free spirited as this. Sometimes I like to justify it financially by thinking that the students work here 3 times longer per day than the typical architecture student, so were in fact getting 15 years worth of experience over the course of 5 years.
Am enjoying being here If you're really enjoy the study of architecture, you'll develop a masochistic pleasure in the late nights of work and relentless onslaught of impossible assignments. If not, consider
Am learning a lot You will work late hours. You will be swamped with assignments and projects. You either learn to pick up the pace or drop trying. You'll look back years later and experience brain seizures at the thought of how quickly you've learned to do the things that used to take you days to do. It's not a question of whether or not you'll learn a lot. It's a question of what you'll do with all that you've learned.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus safety is good at keeping the students safe but that goes otherwise with your belongings. Students live by a hidden code, that is don't do to others if you don't want others doing to you.
Greek Life No Greek life at this school.
Clubs and Activities No clubs or activities.
Great for these types of students This school is great for people who are a bit more mature and has the love for architecture and are on the track to become an architect. Also if your friendly, not afraid of meeting and approaching new people, know to have fun under pressure, and is confident, not afraid of criticism.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Every other Friday, there is something called Fridays at 5 where the different classes hold a themed party on campus for all the students and faculty to mingle and converse with one another.
Bang for the buck Since this school is a private school tuition is up there, but the financial aid is great.
What to do for fun Since the school is situated in one of the largest melting pot of California, come with many things to see and do. There are multiple museums and galleries, something called the Art Walk every month, bicycling days to tour LA, clubs, bars, and the list goes on.
Food and Dining Since it is situated in the heart of Los Angeles, there are great places to eat, drink, and explore the melting pot of Los Angeles. Whatever it is that you carve you can find a place within walking distance from school.
Dorm Life There is no dorms at this school, yes it a downer for those who what to have a dorm life, so if that is the case this is not the school for you. However, the amazing thing is that is in the heart of downtown Los Angeles and find your own place and roommates is a thrill in itself.
Academic Rigor This school is pretty rigorous on the style and quality of the projects. It is a stickler on the quality of the projects and presentation of them. The greatest thing of all is that you get you own studio space to work, sleep, eat, and etc.
Tips for prospective students Be prepared to spend a lot of nights working on your projects and building lasting friendship with your classmates or upper classmates. The learning experience will all depend on how your make of it. Also learning from professional architects in the greater Los Angeles.
In three sentences Great learning place where you can feel comfortable and become a part of the family at this school, regardless of what class your in. Also, a place you learn and experience cutting edge technology in the field of architecture. All in all, a great place to be mentored by standing professional architects.
