    It's important for students to actually do their homework. If you want to make it in the real world, you're going to have to know how to work hard, and doing well here is the first step. I advise you to make as many friends and study-buddies freshman year, but remember to enjoy all of your years at this university.

    Go to Morris Library for studying, as dorms and apartments can be distracting. Take advantage of teacher's office hours; they are there to help you. Explore community events like the DuQuoin State Fair.
