Campus Life

The food isn't perfect but it is still good. Eat at the SU more if you can.

I do not live in the forms; therefore I am unsure about the food and dining on campus.

There is a huge variety of food in the dining halls. There is food from many different parts of the world and different cultures. There is a hamburger, pizza, and pasta bar. There is a variety of deserts served as well as there being an ice cream machine.

There is a great range of restaurants. Plenty of low budget to fine dinning places. All the restaurants try to buy local as much as possible so the food is great.

About as good as you can expect for college dining. They do offer vegetarian choices and try to mix it up with different ethnic cuisines every night.

I've had it a few times its okay and kinda unhealthy, but were changing companies to a better one that serves healthy choices and is supposedly yummier so maybe it'll be better next year.

SOU currently ended a contract with Sodexo and is now working with A'viands. They are an amazing team that listens to what the students want and offer endless choice in food from healthy to snacks to a good slice of pizza. The make a lot of food from scratch!

There are many healthy options for food in downtown Ashland. Many restaurants use organic food products. Closer to campus you can find Mexican, Chinese and Japanese restaurants. Casa Del Pueblo, the Mexican Restaurant across the street from campus has good food at great prices.

To be completely honest, I am slightly disappointed in the school as far as nutrition goes. When I went to orientation I listened to the lecture about health being so important, however being a vegetarian I could not find many veg options in the dining halls and what I did find was loaded with calories and fat. I prefer to cook in my apartment than eat on campus.

SOU does not have any Greek life.

We only have one frat that almost no ones knows about.

The SOU campus has the ANSOU club (Associated Nerds of Southern Oregon University) and various other clubs and activities for those who are interested in being involved in challenging subjects.

There is no greek life.

I'm not sure if we have sororitie's or fraternals, but it's ok.
