Really research your major. Get to know your professors and people involved in your program BEFORE you get here. I highly recommend taking a tour by yourself (not with the other SUU students or leaders) to explore on your own and talk one on one with faculty, other students, etc. Also, the whole T-bird Flight school orientation is lame and forced. As a transfer student, I hated it; I felt like I was shoved into a chaotic mess of screaming 18-year-olds. Beware of the EDGE program, take the opportunity to do something awesome. Don't make blankets like fifty other people in your class will want to do.

Makes sure to get out there and do the activities but also make sure to take advantage of the library and ELC center for when it's time to study.

If you are looking for a place just like high school then you are in the right place, get scholarships, be aware that this college is small and that you will most likely get to know your professors very well.

don't try to transfer because the a lot credits don't transfer over and the financial aide office isn't the best. If you are out of state it's much more likely that you will receive an academic scholarship.
