Grab a coffee, go to Friday Night Live, attend a seminar from a guest speaker, play Frisbee at the Mall, do tightrope walking in between two trees, read a book under a tree, take a stroll around the art gallery, go walking on miles worth of trails around Georgetown, go to the lake, go to Austin and catch a concert, go shopping in any one of several shopping centers, go to the gym, take a student exclusive exercise class, and MORE!

Southwestern tends to collect a certain type of student, making it really easy to make friends, you can go to fraternity parties, go to austin, or just stay in with your friends.

There are lots of things to do for fun at Southwestern. First off, the Cove has set up different evening activities every week such as Friday Night Live. There is also a variety of clubs to join as well as fraternity/sorority events such as Quidditch.

FNL is a weekly event held in the cove. Each week a famous performer (musician, poet, comedian, magician, etc...) comes to The Cove. This is a really fun break from the long school week.

In the college, there is plenty of things to do with your dorm mates. They are always doing something, whether it is playing cards, going swimming at the lake, playing basketball, playing pool, etc. The Cove is a usual hangout spot for students and has its own coffee bar, two pool tables and prepares meals too.

Go for nature walks around campus and the nearby woods and graveyard. Go to the local natural Blue Hole. Or, if you're feeling particularly adventurous, you can hop into a car for the 30 minute drive to Austin.

There are a LOT of activities on campus-besides club events, every Friday there's a live musical act, comedian, movie or other entertainment provided by Student Life, as well as parties hosted by the fraternities and other groups. We also have our own music festival, Clusterfest, every spring (past headliners include Sleigh Bells and Matt & Kim). Georgetown is a small town-lots of families with small children, and a huge retirement community as well. There are still fun things to do in town-there's a community market/fair every second Saturday, fairly large festivals for Christmas and in the spring, fun runs/races throughout the year, etc. There is also a huge outlet mall less than ten minutes from campus. Also, Austin is close! LOTS of fun stuff to do there.

Go to Austin. :) No, but more seriously, while Austin is awesome, the university really does have fun events on weekends (Friday Night Live, Cinematic Saturday). There are also 4 fraternity houses on campus that typically trade off hosting parties 3 weekends a month. Try checking the campus calendar near the cafeteria exit, as well as the kiosks around campus for other events! But really, have you BEEN to Austin? :)
