“Dorm life at St John's is great, but I wish the hours for visitors were better !…”

I've never had bad food at St. John's.
» Read MoreThe food isn't bad, it's actually really good sometimes. However, the time frames you can eat are horrible.
» Read MoreIts okay, but I prefer to cook for myself.
» Read MoreTHey have several cafeterias, and different fast food options in them.
» Read MoreThe only reason I gave four stars is because some of the workers in the D'Angelo Center dining hall are rude and miserable. Otherwise, I'm a big fan of the food here. The meal exchange plan is great and if you're big on eating healthy, it's not hard to do in the Montgoris dining hall, D'Angelo center dining hall, or Marillac dining hall. Plus, the seasonal carnival food, St. Patricks' day food, and monthly torched desserts are my favorite!
» Read MoreThe food is not bad, especially in comparison to other schools in the New York City/Long Island area. We have a main dining hall that is buffet-style, but also has counters where chefs can make you customized omlettes and crepes. There are waffle machines, ice cream, and tons of cereal during all of its hours. We also have a Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, Taco Bell, Burger King, Subway, Nathan's, and more where you can get food as part of your meal plan.
» Read MoreFrom the salad bar to the sandwich and wrap station to the gluten-free stir fry area, the general dining hall has something to offer to everyone. Our cafeteria features a vegetarian/vegan space(a HUGE plus for me!), warm food trays(buffet style eating) and a dessert area. There is a space titled Menutainment where chefs prepare items that change every meal period-from make your own omelets during breakfast to cheesecake for dessert, there is always something to eat. The campus also includes restaurants that you can exchange your meal points for(Virtually free for you). Breakfast meal exchange: Dunkin Donuts (weekends only) Lunch: Boar's Head, Energy Kitchen, Taco Bell Dinner: same as above as well as 2mato, Freshens, Burger King, and Subway
» Read MoreThere is food for different types of people. There are so many choices that sometimes you don't know what you want to eat that day. Plus the food is delicious.
» Read MoreExcellent food at the Cafeteria. There are restaurants and fast food near by
» Read MoreThe food is horrible and has the worst hours.
» Read MoreStay away, frats and sororities are pretty pretentious here.
» Read MoreGreek presence is strong on campus.
» Read MoreVery active, but not my thing.
» Read MoreI'm not personally involved but my other roommates are and they love it! The girls I've met through them are pretty great too. I plan on pledging next year!
» Read MoreI would not suggest attending this school if you are extremely interested in joining Greek Life--the fraternities and sororities are quite small and there are not very many to choose from. Also, off-campus housing is difficult because it is a Catholic University, so they do not like to sponsor frat and sorority houses.
» Read MoreI am not part of Greek Life, but I do have friends part of it and they have a lot of fun.
» Read MoreGreek Life is seen at every moment at St. John's. They are heavily involved at school and spread positivity and feelings of progression to all.
» Read MoreSt. John's Greek Organizations are made of groups of many different interests. St. John's has 16 Sororities and 19 Fraternities which include: The Divine 9, National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations, Inter-Fraternity Council, and Panhellenic Council Together they all strive to reach a common goal. Each organization is bonded by honor, respect, friendship, and truth. These Greek Organization also come with many benefits like leadership opportunities, academic support and a bond of brotherhood and sisterhood.
» Read MoreSororities and Fraternities are not a big part of this school. There isn't any sorority housing and most pledges are hazed.
» Read MoreThere is a wide range of sororities and fraternities at st john's and they are always trying you to get to join their Greek life.
