Thanks to the professors, St. John's is a school that helps students for their particular career field. Many of the teachers have had experience in your field, so they are willing to give you tips that go a long way. This college is not for the slacker- expect to do work, but in the end it helps out. Many students go onto graduate school in the city or receive internships after they graduate. Some even participate in internships while they are in undergraduate school.

    It is a very open community. There are usually many events and good opportunities available to students of all backgrounds. There is a wide range of study abroad locations, with scholarships available for most.

    The school is pretty expensive. The location isn't bad, you aren't stuck in the hustle and bustle of city life but you can throw yourself into it for 2.50 a ride on the subway. The classes I'm taking (Forensic Science major) are pretty challenging but not challenging to the point where I can't handle it.

    The university is a great environment. There are so many things or activities to take part in when you are not studying. The professors take initiative to teach you in a way that you will understand everything, and are willing to help.
