Prospective students should know that there is not much to do outside of SMCM. The nearest mall is an hour away and the movie theater is not the best. However, there is plenty to do each week on campus that will keep you busy. This is an honors college so make sure you do your homework!

Enjoy the most affordable waterfront property you'll ever have--we're right on the river, and there's no excuse not to swim, sail or just soak up the sun! You'll never regret laying out on the docks or sunning at the Point, even if you have to bring your homework with you. When it comes to academics, get on good terms with your professors early; we're a small school so you'll be working with them again. Lastly, be creative--find internships, set up clubs, get active in the school and the community!

Be ready to work hard but also enjoy yourselves on your way to graduation and future success. Get to know your academic advisers and meet with them often as they will have important information regarding course planning, study abroad opportunities, internships, and scholarships. Last but not least, get involved! There's plenty to do so get out and become part of our family!

You have to visit the school. It is in a great atmosphere. Since most things I do are on campus you spend a lot of time here. If you want to be involved in clubs or athletics its great. No a big school setting at all, so if that is what you are looking for probably not the right school.
