If you dislike the socially confined feel of high school, St. Olaf may not be the place for you. There are just over 3000 students on campus and the physical campus is very small. You also won't find much racial or economic diversity here. Regardless, a St. Olaf class is an experience in which you can have plenty of meaningful discussion and learn not only about your course subjects, but about how to learn better.

If you're looking to make great friends in an idyllic setting, while getting a rigorous liberal arts education, St. Olaf is the place for you! I'm not gonna lie--classes are hard and push you. But it's worth it every day. I love every minute I'm here, even in the long Minnesota winter.

Specifically for minority students, the culture shock you'll experience is going to be he toughest thing to adapt to. St. Olaf does not offer a very diverse background at all, so it might be something that you're not used to. But as long as you remain open-minded and are willing to meet new people, then you should be just fine.
