    What to do for fun

During Halloween one can dress up and take a photo with friends on a green screen, then pick a background of choice. Throughout the year, there are competitions among classes, and winners receive free popcorn and ice-cream!

    Food and Dining

There is no cafeteria, but sometimes local restaurants sell delicious salads and sandwiches.

    Dorm Life

    There are no dorms.

    Academic Rigor

One must study continuously to not fall behind.

    Tips for prospective students

Volunteer in the field of your choice before applying. This will increase your chances of being accepted into a program, and will benefit you when it comes to clinicals and future employment.

    Campus Safety

It's in Irvine so it's definetly safe!

Great for these types of students

I can't speak for the other programs but like I stated above, the OTA program is sort of great because it's the only one around allowing people to apply year round.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

The campus is really small so there really is no unusual locations on campus but the I suppose the volunteer work could be considered a tradition unique to Stanbridge.

    Bang for the buck

Your not gonna get much bang for your buck here. For example, I had over 120 undergad units coming in to Stanbridge but only got credit for one class (anatomy/physio). That's probably the worst part about the school, the fact that so many classes I already took don't apply here because the course descriptions are different. For example, I took Eng 100 and Eng 110 at Goldenwest College but I still had to pay for the English class over here at Stanbridge because of a course description technicality.

    What to do for fun

One positive thing about Stanbridge is all the volunteer work the school is apart of. As a student at Stanbridge you'll be required to do one volunteer service project per term which I feel is cool and a little different then what I'm used to at public school but I like it. I just volunteered for the special olympic that took place at CSULB last weekend and had a blast. I got to interacts with some of the kids which made me even more sure of my chosen career path.

    Academic Rigor

Like I stated above, not rigorous whatsoever, but I can't speak for term 2, 3, or 4 cause I just started.

    Tips for prospective students

If you are sure that you want to be an OTA then Stanbridge is the best choice currently because there really is not much else available. Be prepared to be somewhat bored in the beginning if you are used to being challenged but make the most of it by applying for scholarships because tuition here isn't cheap (and its going up). Also take advantage of using your assigned Career Services Officer (CSO) who is there for each individual student as a personal agent of sorts that can get you started building your resume and helping you find a part time job if you are in need of work while you are in school.

Stanbridge College In Irvine CA is a Career College that offers various programs to lauch your career in the healthcare arena and in IT. I'm currenlty enrolled in a two year Ocuupational Therapry Assistant program over here and as of now it's off to a slow start, not what I'm used to but I'm hopeful it will get better. I don't want to sound negative so I won't but for many people, including myself, Stanbridge is the only option out there that's open to accepting new applicants for their OTA program so I sort of chose it by default. The only other OTA program option out there that is local to LA and Orange counties is at Santa Ana college but, as of now, it's a 2 yr. waiting period just to apply.

There is a variety of volunteer opportunities that support the local community.

Great for these types of students

This school is great for those who want to succeed much faster than attending a typical college. It's great for all ages and those who also have to work.

    Bang for the buck

This is a career school and yes, it might it be expensive for some but the cost is irrelevant when it comes to finding a job, loving the job, and keeping the job that you love! Of course getting paid well helps too!

    Dorm Life

    No dorms...

    Tips for prospective students

Just do it! If your thinking about going back to school then do it!
