I recommend making friends with at least one person in each of your classes and get their number just in case you can't attend class. Its best to speak to your academic advisor/counselor every semester so you take the classes you need to graduate. If you plan to change your major do so quickly or else you might be taking classes for a major you're not even interested in and waste time. Make the most out of the experience, join clubs and make friends so you're not too stressed. It is important to communicate with your teachers so you know what you need to do to pass and get and A. It is also important to communicate in class, you will learn better, remember the material and be more interested. If you never participate it is like you were never there.

My best tip is to always plan your schedule based off of the teachers. I always use ratemyprofessor.com to find the right teacher for me. Please take a look on their and save yourself from a bad semester.

As for all schools, stay focused and don't put off projects until the day before. If you need help with anything, head over to the Academic Resource Center or the library. The school is in a great location in Bradenton with easy access to food and shopping off campus.
