“If you enjoy cooking and living in a unsupervised environment, dorm life is not ideal. However, living on campus can be a safe and comfortable experience.…”
“lots of activities.…”
“The campus is extremely overcrowded. Most dorms house 3 students when they can hardly contain 2. The dorms are old and quite dirty as well, and I have heard rumors…”
“some dorms are better than others but all of them have plenty of activities that are actually fun to attend, and the aforementioned great people that attend. i have no…”
“dorms are alright, not the worst i've seen, but they are fairly dirty, even after they've been cleaned. god help you if you live in a triple. not only is…”
Campus food is good, but expensive. There're three main places to get eats: the dining halls in the dorms, the Jazzman's Cafes located in the library and the Jacobson Faculty Tower, and the food court in the Student Union Building. » Read MoreThe student union building offers decent food. it's pretty expensive but so is food anywhere else. The dining hall is less that gourmet, though, I suppose that is to be expect of a state facility.
» Read MoreThe food is alright. There aren't many options.
» Read MoreFresh vegetables and fruits from local farms!
» Read MoreThere are many food options on campus that are quick and easy to get to. Both vegetarian and vegan options are available at all dining facilities. The food is fairly priced and the meal-plans are very generous.
» Read MoreThe dining hall offers a variety of food. Although it may not compare to a home cooked meal it is decent.
» Read MoreThe food on campus is not that good.
» Read Moreagain not the greatest and expensive
» Read MoreThe Dining Hall is good, not mama's cooking but you'll find the foods that you like. Plus food in town is great in general and there is variety. There is also the Student Union, which has a variety of restaurants in it too, and that food is good too.

» Read MoreIt's there if you want it, but not a big part
» Read MoreThe Greek Life at SUNY New Paltz is very scarce. Sororities on campus are far more prevalent than fraternities. Though there are not many involved in the Greek Life, it is a great way to make friends and also do community service as well.
» Read MoreI am a part of greek life one campus and I love it. I would not say it is similar to other school but it is nice.
» Read MoreIt's small here but it exists.
» Read MoreOnly about 1% of the students at New Paltz are involved in Greek life, but they're always hosting events and if you add them on Facebook you'll be notified of every one.
» Read MoreThere are sororities and fraternities. If that isn't your thing, you won't even notice that they're there, and if you do want to join, the people are pretty cool and the houses are nice.
» Read MoreThere are some sororities and fraternities around campus, but they are not a huge presence on campus. They're there and active for those who want that kind of experience, but there's no need to join a frat or sorority to have a social life.
» Read MoreSchool hates it, but it made my entire experience.
» Read MoreNew Paltz has several fraternities and sororities to choose from, although Greek Life is not my thing, most of my close friends are members and they are all awesome people!
