The statement I am learning a lot at SUNY New Paltz is really a hit or miss depending on who your professor is. I have learned a lot from some professors, but I truly feel that other courses were an utter waste of time. If you suspect your professor doesn't know what they are doing after a few days of class, I suggest dropping it right away and adding a different one.

SUNY New Paltz is a wonderful school with a bright, engaging faculty and an eclectic mix of students. ALmost everyone I've met there, so far, has an upbeat, can-do attitude that is as inspiring as it is infectious. I wish I had begun my college career at this lovely, optimistic school.

Great university at a great price! Teachers are passionate about their fields, classes are fairly small. Great college town and lots of outdoor activities nearby!

It's an incredibly accepting school where anyone of any faith, sexual-orientation, gender-orientation, and style will find a place to fit in. Both students and staff are liberal in their thinking and that is apparent as one walks through campus and attends classes. There is a niche here for everyone.

A relaxed and comfortable atmosphere but the parties are there if you want them. There are challenging courses with great professors, but also easy-get-by ones, SCHEDULE ACCORDINGLY!! A green, pretty campus that is not too big but not too small.

Great small hippy town feel. Great clubs make you feel at home. They don't help off campus transfer students much.

It is a great school for those majoring in Education or Art. The classes here are challenging, but easy to do well in, due to the available resources on campus. Utilizing the Writing Lab and Tutoring Center will aid in maintaing a high GPA at SUNY New Paltz.

I love my experience at SUNY New Paltz so far. You have your good and bad teachers like everywhere else though. You have to make the best of it.

It is a very nice school in a small town in upstate New York. A small school and at first hard to find a good group of kids but once that is established social life is good. Great academics but the school challenges you to challenge yourself.
