I'm amazed by how many amazing friends I have made during my time here. I was home-schooled during most of high school and missed out on having a lot of friends my age. Stephens has brought me together with gals I know I'll be friends with forever. It's especially neat making friends with girls from all kinds of majors (Stephens has so many majors from equestrian to fashion design to theatre). Don't be afraid to step out there & join a group or club because it's a great way to find those amazing life-long friends. Also, Columbia is a great town to go to college in. There's surprisingly so much to do all within a short walking distance. You have to check out Shakespeare's Pizza and Sparky's for amazing local treats.

It's located in the middle of downtown. 2 blocks away from a large co-ed university, 2 blocks away from any and all shops/restaurants, and 2 blocks away from a beautiful lake/park. Pets are allowed on campus, and in dorms. There's always something artsy going on, and the people are really friendly. A lot of the girls (it's a women's college) go home on weekends their first semester, so it can be pretty quiet around campus, and hard if you're from out of state. But it quickly gets better and easier!

I've found it's kind of hard to meet people. It's required that students live on campus but the majority of students in the dorms keep their doors closed.
